I had dings in my old optic using my 124gr 132PF TG loads using a 15lb spring (picture with cracked optic few pages back). When I got my replacement Romeo1 and tried both a 13lb and 14lb recoil spring and neither showed signs of hitting the optic. Stuck with the 14lb since I can really tell the 13 slams back pretty hard vs the 14lb. Been using it for about 250 rds so far and not a single scratch.

Found that '*thumb rest [generic]*' take down lever a few months ago on Instagram and have been anxiously awaiting it's release. Although now that it's available, I'm not sure what I would use it for?? I measured and don't think it would fit my Bladetech holster and it's not CO legal. Really cool idea though!

Bought my Romeo1 in June and after only 250'ish rounds mine cracked on the right side. Never dropped, traveled in foam case, only evident damage was brass hitting optic. I've been using a 15lb recoil spring that came with my Gray Guns guide rod. I did test with a 13 and thought the 15 felt softer anyways. Seems odd, but I'm curious if I need to go back to the 13lb like the post above to keep the brass from hitting the optic?
  4. I know this is an old topic, but hoping to get clarification now that CO is a few years older. Have we confirmed the max weight is 45oz regardless of gun? I.e. the part that states "Note that the weight limits in D4-18 remain in force and relevant." is actually irrelevant. D4-18 states the gun can only be 2oz heavier than the listed weight.
