I had my hearing checked today, and the Dr told me insurance would pay for the Soundgear Phantoms. They did the molds today, so I'll find out for sure when they come in.

I'd probably do exactly what I did. Lee Classic Turret, then a 550C, now an RL1100.

That has got to be some scalper-trolling going on, probably just people just bidding it up for s#!ts and giggles without any intention of actually paying if I had to guess. There are plenty of SPP available at the $150-$300 per 1K price range, can't imagine anyone is actually paying $500 per 1K (yet.... LOL!).
Wait, people are paying $150-300 for 1k primers??

Look on page 3, someone did a review on these about a month ago

What height did you end up mounting your 1100 in relation to the 550?

I’m not familiar with the SSI lighting but I recommend the Starlight system from Reloading Innovation and a camera to monitor powder in the case.
I mistyped, the RI starlight is the one getting...

Nice, congrats.
so, you ordered it without dies from Dillon?Yeah, my original order was a 9mm press, which is still on backorder. But I just happened to see one at Grafs in stock, but with no caliber conversion or dies. I had dies already, and I just picked up the caliber conversion online. Probably saved me several months of waiting.

Just got the box opened, about to set up my bench and get everything put together.
For dies, I've got FW Arms decapping and swage foot, Lee U sizing, Lyman M, Redding comp seating, and Lee FCD. I'm ordering an MBF and SSI lighting now, but just wondering if there are any other dies or accessories that are worth picking up at the same time.

Does it feel like it increases the reach for the SA pull as well?

Any chance you have a photo from the rear, looking through the sight?

He mentions it on his paid training page. I’d guess the change was fairly recent.
Anyone have a link?

It just seemed odd that no one seems to be interested, or talking about it. Nationals in general, or Ben not shooting.

I chrono'd some Clean Shot recently, along with some other known minor loads.
CZ Shadow 2
124gr Eggleston TC coated
Win headstamp
Fed SPP
1.10 OAL
3.8 N320 1064 fps 23 es 7 sd
3.8 Sport Pistol 1050 32 11
3.8 Win 244 1048 12 4
3.9 Clean Shot 991 48 14
4.1 Clean Shot 1018 35 10
4.2 Clean Shot 1044 29 9
4.3 Clean Shot 1047 23 8
I then loaded some rounds with 4.2gr Clean Shot, and shot groups. It was consistently the most accurate of the four different loads.

Can't seem to find any information about why he didn't. Here, or at PTSG.
Frankly, I can't find much information about Nationals in general. Just not something people talk about much?

I think I'm getting a set of these as well. I've tried a bunch of different grips, and just can't make enough room for my support hand.

If the Gray Guns kit gets the P320 trigger to the level of the Canik/Freedomsith trigger, I'd reconsider one. I have a P320RX, and the trigger isn't even in the same ballpark as the Canik. In fact, it's terrible.

3.8 with a 125gr Blue puts me at 1050ish from a G17 at 90° it's reverse sensitive.
That's 0.2 more than Titegroup or Bullseye or there about, haven't tried Sport Pistol. It's clean, meters excellent, has good SDs, seems fairly available.
Those are the numbers I was expecting. Just seems odd that its going to take me 4.3gr to get to 1050fps.

I looked up my actual numbers, all from the same afternoon
Avg ES SD PF 3.8 N320 1064 23 7 131.9 3.8 SP 1050 32 11 130.2 3.9 CS 991 48 14 122.9 4.1 CS 1018 35 10 126.2 3.8 244 1048 12 4 130.0 -
I was running low on Sport Pistol recently, and picked up some Clean Shot to try out. I shot some through a chrono, along with a few known loads. Based on some older Clean Shot threads here, and load data from Shooters World and Alliant, I was expecting a similar charge weight to SP or something similar.
My load was Eggleston 124gr .356 bullets, Win range brass, Fed SPP primers, 1.10 OAL. 3.8gr of Sport Pistol, 3.8gr of Win 244, and 3.7gr of N320 all chrono'd at ~130pf. But 4.1gr of Clean Shot got me to 126pf.
Otherwise, it was the most accurate load, clean and not particularly hot.
Anyone else have similar results with charge weight?

I think the crisper, smaller dot tends to settle me down a bit more than the larger 5 MOA.
Thats the only reason.....so we will call it "mental" reasons.Just wondering

Only thing I would change......SRO would get replaced with a Holosun 407 2 MOA.
For now, the SRO will stay put.Just curious, but why?

I haven't seen them in person yet. They showed me a video and the brochure, but I had also done some research online prior to my appointment .
