I have a JM custom kydex AIWB holster for my full size 92. It is the most comfortable concealment holster I’ve got. The full size is definitely a brick of a gun but the holster makes it very comfortable and conceals very well. I’d love to see what it would do to a 92 compact. I think that would be a very concealable option.

That’s awesome I will order the one of those holsters. Thanks!

Thanks Stuart.  Is the reason it's happening with a full mag likely because of the extra mass the mag spring is working against slowing it down? That seems to make sense.  I'll get that ordered tonight. +5%?

Also, what would you recommend on the recoil spring for most factory ammo, like 14#?  I'm running a 13# hammer spring.

Iam using a 13# recoil spring with factory ammo.

I run aftecs in my open guns - they are good but require modifying your firing pin stop, and have their own pros and cons (spring caps can break). I had issues with a standard extractor in my 9major gun and switching to an aftec solved it, because I don't have the chops to fit/fix an extractor myself and was just looking for a part that would solve it for good. Other guns that have properly tuned extractors may not require one.

If you're shooting 40, to be honest as long as your extractor works, I don't think it needs replacing. Wait until it wears out and requires replacing - and then I'd go with what @N3WWN suggested - EGW makes good stuff. I don't run an Aftec in my limited gun

Just curious why you don’t use a Aftec in your Limited guns?

Not a stupid question at all. As long as it's for the right length slide, it won't be a problem.

Yes it’s the same length 5inch. I figured it would be the same but was curious why the package said .45 acp and made me wonder if there actually was a difference. Thanks.

I don't own a DVC (shot one a few months ago), but a Staccato XL 9mm was in stock at a local sporting goods store. It has a new style grip (still polymer), sub 3-pound trigger, and the fit of slide to frame seemed good. I have an Edge in .40. The Staccato slide cuts appeared relatively well-machined. But at $3400 it is overpriced to me. I know what I paid for my new Edge a few years ago and spending $1400 plus more for the Staccato XL is a no go (especially in 9mm). From what I can remember about the DVC, the Staccato has better fit and finish, but Uhmeebuh will have to give you the recent comparison details.

I have a Staccato C absolutely love it but haven’t handled any other Staccato’s or DVC’s.

I picked up a DVC-P (formerly the Omni) and I noticed a distinct difference in action and fit between the Staccatos and the DVCs.   The Staccato XL showed up at my LGS and confirmed my suspicions.

    What was the difference?
