True, it's not really for games but it's great for general shooting and HD. Typically I'm not a fan of porting on shotguns at all (clays or hunting) but it's classic Vang Comp so I want to give it a run.

I'm interested to hear either way. I'm not shooting 3 gun (yet) so this one is just for shooting.

Nice PCC. I have ran a Romeo 3 for a couple years now with no complaints. Shot a lot of falling steel and USPSA in all kinds of weather.
Thanks. What was your setup? Anything in particular to know about the Romeo 3?

I'm getting a lot of email notices of matches being cancelled in TX. Hopefully refunds will be coming. Crazy season but this too shall pass.

I ordered it this week. I have the rest of his books as well as Anderson's. Good resources.

One time, many years, I got to the starting box and realized I didn't have enough mags. The RO, who was a friend and running the same mags. I reached out and snatched two of his and said, ok, I'm good.
Note to self...don't read these topics while drinking. You might have to clean the computer afterwards.

I don't even know anyone (yet) who has it. Hundreds of clients and their families from all over creation, friends and family, church members, etc...thankfully no one has it to our knowledge. It seems kind of odd that we have to remind people to wash their hands and not sneeze on their neighbor. Didn't we learn that around age 4 or 5? I had a client tell me something funny today...he got off a flight and went to wash his hands in the airport. He said for the first time in his life, he had to wait in line to wash his hands in the men's room. Think about that one.

This hexagonal buffer is an interesting piece.

I was considering the Sig Romeo 3.

Weighs 6# as shown. I will consider the Holosun...they just look ugly.

I just picked up this new PCC from Iron City Rifle Works. Fit and finish is excellent. Trigger is very crisp...about 2#. I need to figure out what optic to put on it. I have some ETS clear 31 rd mags on the way. I look forward to shooting it this weekend. They had the parts on hand and I got it 1 week after ordering it. Jason Williams at ICRW was great to work with.

This one for $25: https://www.amazon.com/VISM-NcStar-Gun-Case-Green/dp/B004QO3UOE/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=rifle+case+vism&qid=1584470649&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-4
It's padded, has a bunch of pockets, double zippers and a shoulder strap.
Thanks for the link. I ordered 2 different sizes. That's a good price.

I've been using Blue bullets for some time in numerous guns without issues. I have a PCC arriving today that I will also use Blue bullets with.

You might have noticed I went from wanting .40 to 9mm for SS. In talking to Eric, he said the orders have been 5 to 1 in favor of 9mm SS. We talked a lot about it and I went with 9mm. Oh, and I went with the Techwell TGO magwell instead of the Chen. It will be my first experience with that magwell.
-
Hope so. I thought about DLC coating but it is really backlogged and would add 2 months. I do have a new PCC arriving tonight. Photos and info on it soon.

I'm in the process of ordering a Rogue Tactical custom 9mm setup for SS. I will be going with their oversized barrel and bushing (written about here in their mini-forum), external extractor, black nitride finish, etc. Not going to stroke it. I was interested in the Chen magwell but it adds a lot of weight to the wrong end of the gun and he would have to take more weight off the slide...bad physics. 3 month backlog. Eric is very easy to work with and he fully warranties the work. I look forward to it.

You will probably love the EDC X9. I've had one for about 6 months and love it. It's about the perfect grip contour for me. Runs like a top and is very accurate and smooth shooting. It's one of my favorite handguns.

45 this time. last build was a Foster race ready 9mm...
Did you post photos of that here? Curious to see it. Are the Fosters basically an over run of Caspian?

Good feedback...thanks. I've looked for a Max .40 but it sounds like I missed some closeouts. If I get one, I will be interested to hear more about those trigger mods. 2.5# sounds great. Agreed on the longer trigger...my preference as well.

I have 2 Sig 1911 Max’s I use in SS. One in 40 and one in 45. Decent guns for the money. The external extractor turns the traditionalists off but they run.
I have thought about the Sig Max 40 for SS. Anything you don't like about it?

If I had a bit of money, I'd ask Rogue Tactical to build one for me: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/280298-alpha-single-stack-oversized-bushing-barrel/
I hadn't seen that info before. Interesting.

Congrats. It's always interesting to hear the stories of people hitting retirement and what they do afterwards. What's the next chapter?
