  1. The only spare I have is for my Tanfo Stock 2. They are shorter than the one in the Witness P so it will not work.
  2. My right thumb barely reaches the safety, much less anywhere close to the slide release. So I don't think I am inadvertantly hitting the slide release. Some other gremlin is showing up somehow/somewhere
  3. I did shoot right hand only. So the left hand was completely out of the equation to touch the slide release while firing. Still happened. After coming home to take a look, I took the slide off and then inserted a magazine back in the frame with the slide release installed also. I dont see how the rounds could be hitting the slide release, there is more than enough room between the rounds and the slide release on the inside of the gun. What I did observe is the trigger bar looks very close to the bottom of the slide release.Do you think there is anyway the top of the trigger bar could be contacting the slide release and pushing it up?
  4. Went back to the range today and put 150 rounds of 115gr. Blazer FMJ downrange. Switching to 115gr did not seem to help. The slide continues to lock back sporadically with rounds still in the magazine. Any other thoughts on why this would be happening? Thanks
  5. Thanks for the help. Will test out some factory 115gr FMJ's and see how it goes. Will keep you informed, thanks again!
  6. I was just using Blazer Brass 124gr. Should factory ammo cause the slide to do that?
  7. Sorry, I must have double tapped the post thread icon, ugggg
  8. Took my EAA Witness P to range today for first time. Felt great in hand. VERY accurate, my first 10 rounds were at 5 yds and all 10 were in a quarter size hole. Was having one major problem though. The slide kept locking back with rounds still in the magazine. This was just a few times either, I shot 100 rds through the gun and there could have been as many as 25-30 times where the slide would lock back with rounds still in the magazine. My first thought was, I must be riding the slide release. So I intentionally tried to keep my support hand away from the release. Did not seem to work. So then I thought, hell, lets shoot the gun one handed, then I know I am not riding the release because that hand isnt even touching the gun. Still continued to lock back with rounds in the magazine. I could not pinpoint when nor why it was doing this. Any help or suggestions or thoughts on what might be going on?

  10. There are no rails in the actual frame itself. The rails are integrated into the trigger housing and the sear/hammer housing.
  11. My pre-order was sent in around end of October or first of November, not 100% sure. Received my Black Nitride Shadow 2 this past Friday from CZC. I have changed 1 thing already, that is to put in a 13# main/hammer spring. Dropped the DA about 1.8-2.0#'s. Didnt really affect the SA, if it did, it is hardly noticable. Oh, and I also added the extended safety lever that is included. Didnt like the flat safety that came installed. Here are a few pics...
  12. I think the very beginning of November if I remember correctly.
  13. Mine arrives at my LGS tomorrow, looking forward to getting hands on.
  14. Just found this video from Shot Show 2 days ago. I think the video shows the Polymer Match which is SA. The Match Pro should be DA/SA. The Match does not look to have the cone fit barrel if that matters to you.
  15. First, I never said this was a carry gun or had anything to do with carry. It is a match gun and full sized. Secondly, a lighter gun should point faster and transition faster. Some people like those characteristics more than others so YMMV. Last, why would I buy one? Why not? It is another Tanfo and you can never have too many. Would be fun to compare with the Steel framed counterparts.
  16. I assume so, this picture came directly out of the 2017 EAA catalog...once they become (or if) available, I am going to try and pick one up.
  17. My Stock 2 is approx 43oz. The new Witness P Match Pro is showing 30oz in the catalog I have. 13oz weight savings seems significant to me. I am not comparing a full size with a compact so the difference there is of no concern to me. Also, the P Match Pro has 4.75" barrel compared to my Stock 2 4.5" barrel. P Match Pro has 19rd capacity in 9mm. This all looks great to me.
  18. I see this is a new offering this year. I am a bit intrigued by the lightness of the polymer series and perhaps getting the same trigger feel as my steel Tanfo's. I can't seem to find anything online about them yet. Anyone here have any news on these?
  19. Thanks Memphis! If I decided to ever use this as a defensive gun, I would definitely change the springs back out. Although the EGD light trigger spring says it is eqivalent to a 13.8# srping so essentially a 14# spring. After testing this one out, I may go back and change to the medium springs and see what I get. This thing feels incredible now, and it really isnt that bad to take apart and reassembly, only slightly more involved than the steel guns.
  20. Got everything put back together. Use PD sear and trigger springs, Xtreme hammer and disco, EGD Xtreme Light hammer spring and light firing pin spring. Put in a OEM polished Stock 2 firing pin. I will add the Xtreme firing pin once I get the replacement from the bent one I had as well as when I can get another extended firing pin block. Also did a light polish on most of the main areas. What a difference a few different parts, springs and little polish can do, this thing feels great now, a completely different gun from when I picked it up stock. I did have to fit the sear/safety after changing out the different springs/parts. Here is where it stands now... DA And SA
  21. Yeah I am going to install the Xtreme parts I think. I have them already, so why not. One question, if I use the Xtreme firing pin, will I need the extended firing pin block or will the factory one work? On EDC for me, I have been carrying a subcompact Glock for the last 10 years. Have only carried in one method. This is the one that worked best for me when I started, and is what I stick with today. IWB kydex at 3:30-4 oclock position. I basically dont know it's even there anymore since I have been carrying like this for so long. Everytime I try something different, I always end right back with IWB at 3:30-4.
  22. For me, its the same analogy as carrying appendix. Even though I am carrying a Glock and an AD has almost a zero chance of happening, I still dont want a gun pointing at my junk no matter what it is or how it is carried. The Tanfo may very well be just as safe or safer, but like you said, I will stick with my Glock when defensive or EDC is needed.
  23. Nor do I want to carry one in the pipe hammer down. Been a Glock EDC'er for the last 10 years and that is my comfort zone when carrying. The DA was absolutely horrible, super heavy, stacking like crazy, and very gritty. However the SA wasnt too bad. It wasnt good by any means, but doable. This is gonna be a fun gun/range gun. It was a cheap buy ($325) so it's not too bad. The more I think about it, I may just try to install the Xtreme parts from the Stock 2. I have an Xtreme firing pin (not sure that would work with the block in this gun), the hammer and disconnector that came from the Xtreme, both the medium hammer spring and medium firing pin spring. Also have a stash of reduced sear and trigger springs. So switching to those would really cost nothing as I have all that in my spare parts box now. A good polish and adding in new springs/parts might be the route to go.
  24. The thought of carrying a poly Tanfo seemed great before I bought this, however after actually having it in hand, this would probably never be carried for defensive use by me. Not a fan of cocked and locked carry and it is on the larger side for carry, for me at least My Glocks with stay on duty as my carry and defensive guns. This will probably just be a range gun or perhaps maybe run a few competitions with it perhaps just for the hell of it. Will just have to see.
  25. Well, for almost 3 weeks now, I have entered one of my LGS to see if the Witness Carry P I saw there was still there. Knowing I wanted one eventually, and the curiosity of tearing a poly Tanfo down was getting to me. Well, it was still there today, and I could not resist it any longer, so it came home with me. I have pretty much completely disassemblied it already. I did not take out the firing pin and spring yet, will do that when I get around to it. I wanted to see how this thing was put together in a polymer frame. Pretty straight forward, as the trigger assembly is housed in its own steel casing as well as the sear cage and hammer are house in there own steel casing. This gun does have the 1 piece sear already which is a plus. Tearing down the trigger and hammer assemblies further to get the springs out looks pretty straight forward. The hammer pin looks to be a roll pin instead of a solid pin like in the steel guns. Question-I have all of the Xtreme parts that I took off of my Xtreme Stock 2, should I (or can I? will those parts fit this gun?) install these parts since I already have them, or should I buy the titan/bolo and install with all new PD parts and springs? What do you guys think? Here is a quick picture of the disassembly so far...
