  1. Was browsing SW's site and came across a 625 Miculek with an under cut style "Mountain Gun" style underlug. Has anyone seen these anywhere yet?
  2. Mainly because the gun shop I work for doesn't stock them...the owner only carries CCI primers. I guess if it really came down to it, and I had to use the Federals, I could special order them. So any spring suggestions?
  3. Hey Gang, I picked up a 686 to try some SSR division in IDPA for a change, and need some spring help! What spring combos are some of you using? I'd like to get the DA down as light as possible, but still have reliable ignition with the CCI primers I use. I was considering the Miculek spring kit, but I can't use Federal primers.
  4. Hey Gang, Does anyone know where or if there is any place to get the Miculek grips in the Black laminate for S&W L-Frames with round butts? All I can find them for is N-Frames...
  5. Hey gang, I'm proud to announce that the PORT MALABAR RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB, located in Palm Bay-Florida, is now holding a monthly IDPA match! We just had our SO course this past weekend, and we are well into the process of obtaining our offical affiliation. Our matches will be every second Sunday, with sign-in around 8:30, and shooting around 9:00. For directions please checkout www.portmalabarrpclub.com or feel free to contact me anytime! 6. Hey gang, Picked up a PMI 40rd mag today, then tossed the spring and the follower in the garbage can! Replaced the spring with an ISMI dedicated 40 rounder, and the follower with a MagPull anti-tilt follower (the brown ones)...haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but was wondering if anyone else has tried the same with any decent results?
  7. Got out today with a buddy that had a chrono...here's my new IDPA load: 147gr. Plated RN 4.00gr WSF 1.156 OAL .378 Crimp Made 129 PF out of the Glock 17...may up the charge to 4.10/4.20 just to be safe!?
  8. As the title states, I'm looking for a good spring weight for a 9mm Glock 17...main use will be IPSC Production/IDPA SSP divisions. Loads are around 125/130 PF...any suggestions on what some of you are using would be great!
  9. I want to start shooting some SSP for a change, and need a good 9mm load for my Glock 17. I'll be using Plated 147gr RN, WSF powder, Federal Primers, and mixed brass...I can segregate the brass if I really need to. The numbers in Win's reloading data book look dandy, but I don't own a chrono, and would worry about not making PF!?
  10. I have my IDPA load all set just right...using 4.3gr of WST, 230gr LRN bullets, and CCI primers. My question is this...the local gunshop is out of Large Pistol Primers, and only has Large Magnum Pistol Primers left in stock. What would/could happen if I loaded up with these? It's a really mild load as is...pushing around 730fps with a Power Factor around 167...would pressures raise that dramatically? Could the primers bulge? Will I get a more thorough/cleaner burn? Thanks in advance for any advice!
  11. Anyone know of some good places to get full moon clips for a 9mm Ruger Speed-Six? I know TK Custom has them, but was looking for more sources!
  12. Hey gang, Had a dreadful experience today at our local three gun match...decided to be cheap, and skimp on the rifle ammo. Bought some Wolf and it basically turned my Bushmaster into a single shot rifle! Ran some of a buddies rounds through it after the match, and all went 100% perfect. My question is, I don't want to reload rifle rounds...I love loading for my handguns, but absolutely hate doing rifle rounds...what factory loads are you guys using, and are there any that are better suited toward 3-Gun's 150 PF...i.e...are there any light factory loads available?
  13. Gun shot absolutely perfect today! Ran 50 rounds of Rem Gun Club 2 3/4" 3dram 1 1/8oz #8's, and 25 rounds of Rem Low Recoil Slugs. A lot happier with this gun now! Don't know that I'll even worry about opening up the ports now.
  14. This weekend I'm going to try some Remington Gun Club Target Loads...2 3/4", 3 Dram, 1 1/8 oz of #8's...we'll see what happens!?
  15. Eric, What does it take to open up the ports? A standard drill bit? If so what size? Any recommendations, or somewhere to find instructions?
  16. Benny, Yes...I should have mentioned that...they were 1 oz. I'll give some 1 1/8 oz a try and see what happens. I'd hate to have to open up the ports on a gun designed for 3-gun already! So should I be looking for something with 3 drams with 1 1/8 oz of 7 1/2 or 8 shot?
  17. Hello 1100 CM Owners, Was wondering what store bought factory loads you guys are using in your CM's? I tried some Fiocchi "Target" #8's with a listed velocity of 1150 fps, and had a few short cycles with them. Should I go to a hotter load, or just break this brand new gun in? So I was curious what loads you all prefer and use...my club doesn't allow shot bigger than 7 1/2, so recommendations in this range would be great!
  18. Does anyone know where I can get a buttstock shell holder from, that holds more than 5 freakin rounds? 3 Gun Gear shows one in a photo on the their site, but I can't find it listed for sale?
  19. All the responses are great...keep 'em coming! I'm considering this...8 + 1 in the gun, 7 on the receiver shellholder, 6 on a forend holder (I'd go bigger here, but need some space on the stock to hold!), I'd like at least 6 on a buttstock holder, but can't find anything but 5's, then probably two of the Cali Comp 4 shell racks...maybe a bandolier if a big or very difficult stage comes up!? Any critiques or comments would be great!
  20. Hey gang, Just wanted to see how many shells you are carrying, during an average stage? I've got the seven saddle on my receiver, and was wondering where to go from there? I'll be shooting Limited with a Rem 1100 CT, and probably loading with the "Cooley Twist"...may use a forearm system, since it'll be close to the gun. I like the idea of the Choate/Cal Comp Works shell caddys, but not sure if I should get the 4's or 6's, and how many of each? Will I ever need much more than 24 shells for a stage? Thanks...
  21. What do you guys think about a SW 646 .40 with 4" barrel for I.D.P.A.? It's either gonna be this or a SW 625 .45 4" barreled revolver.
  22. Was curious as to why a 5" barreled revolver can't be used in I.D.P.A. any longer...the rules stated the barrel length is now 4". Why can I use a 5" barreled Kimber 1911, but not a 5" barreled S&W 625 revolver...both 45 ACP?
  23. Hey Gang, Where in the heck do I find the vertical style shotgun shell holders...I'm talking about the plastic kind that fit on your belt? I don't know how else to describe, them other that saying that they are the kind that Taran Butler uses!?
  24. Since I purchased my Lee Factory Crimp Die, I have not had one single malfunction or stoppage...I'll never reload without one again!
  25. I'm wanting a JP brake on my rifle, but I was told at a match that under new USPSA rules, that these are now not allowed? I was told that's why JP has the Cooley brake now? Any info would be great, because I'd really like one of these things!
