Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I just wanted to add this for new reloaders, as i imagine the experienced already knows: My higher velocities with lower charges of Autocomp are likely the result of seat depth to 1.150", which is manual specification for this bullet, which is higher pressure. I think Markcic said he was seating his to 1.2", with many seating to 1.170" Around 1.165" it was causing feeding issues in my G19.
  2. HI. Last post from 2011. Nice. I love searching before posting. Thanks for major load data! Odd cuz I have 124gr FMJ RN from Hornady #35577B. Hornady manual says max is 4.9gr for Autocomp = 1050 fps. I did 4.8-4.9gr, seated to 1.150" per manual. CZ Shadow 2, stock, so 4.89" barrel, no ports. Temp: approx 40 F, but i loaded it in room temp, approx 67 F. Kansas elevation, if this matters. FPS: 1110 1124 1117 1121 1108 1295 1118 1103 1110 1312 1160 1652!! (380 case! mixed with my 9mm. No signs of high pressure. I wish i took photo but i chucked the case away after inspection) 1108 1070 1128 1096 1108 1075 But these velocities are at 4.8-4.9gr. There are more figures but it's consistent around low 1100s 5.2gr of WAC, seated to 1.150 as well. Same Hornady #35577B bullets. 1299 1318 1302 1311 1302 1295 1313 1300 1302 1311 814? (sunny day) 5108 (bad measure) 1300 1101? (same?) 742 (same?) Traded a fellow shooter my reloads for five PMC factory 124 gr FMJ. It says "1110 fps" on the box. 1052 1084 1080 1085 1072 Hornady LNL auto progressive. Competition Electronics ProChrono #CEI-3800. Couldn't imagine what 7 grains+ of Autocomp will get me. Check out that .380 auto FPS! Primer looked curved. No pierce or extrusion. Rim looked good after extraction. So hot! Approx 4 ft from chrono. Diffusers installed.
  3. Hi. Sorry to ask, but I did search for this answer. Maybe it's in the dawson video, but here it is: how do you fit a steel 9mm spacer? This thing looks beefy and strong! With a file? I got 170mm spacers so that I can fit it in a 140mm tube with ext base pad. Or do the 140mm spacers already come longer so that you can make such fitments? thanks!
