Since it's an open gun I figure it's either 9mm or 38s/sc. What is happening is one of two things or both. Interior dimension between the control ribs that go up each side of the mag needs to be between .730-.765. Any wider and you have too much room for those calibers to stack correctly. 2nd is you need to smooth out the transition of those control ribs at the bottom of the tube. Sand smooth or compress smooth, depending on what tools you have. Take care of those two things before you get new springs and/or followers and then see how they work.
Good luck

I'd try 6 and work up in order to figure it out. If you think 7 is a good starting place then start there.

Just keep the velocity about 1200 fps, v350 might be your best choice of what you have.

maybe do a search about the DVC's here on be.com, you'll find all kinds of information

Yes. It just stays out of battery pushed up against the next round in mag. Most of time no movement.a nd I have been up and down the map with oal and have had 5 different people tell me diff oalsOal should be 1.235.
Explain slide stops as it hits the next round, so it is out of battery and the round never feeds into the chamber?
maybe the extractor has too much tension on it or doesn't have enough bevel on the bottom edge of the hook so it won't let the round slide up underneath it.
also, the round below the round trying to enter the chamber supports the round trying to enter the chamber. If that round below is not tight up to the bottom of that round getting ready to chamber it won't feed right.
good luck

Oh, just in case I'm figuring you were going to try 9mm for push through. If 38sc you have the correct die.
-
Atlas, use a Lee 9x18 fcd die for push through sizing on your single stage bulge buster setup
-
Do a lot of slow, single shot shooting to use it up. Why not return the unopened boxes if you purchased locally?

When I had my 9x21 small frame open gun I used aa#5 exclusively. Worked great. It probably would not work for 38 super.

My primer rods were always metal as well, not plastic

I can't comment if it's heavy enough (you would think it would be) but every primer rod I've had would have an empty. 45 acp case glued to the top of the rod

no, it tells you how to tune feed lips. If you are not mechanically inclined I would suggest option #2 below.
place a block of wood no wider than the tube on both sides (sides are defined as the sides that have the control ribs) of the tube and hold in place with clamps. You are not squeezing the sides, just holding them in place. Now place the tube with clamps in a vice and squeeze the front/back sides to bring them in. You might need some kind of strip of something (metal/wood) not as wide as the mags to place against the front and rear face while squeezing in the vice in order to squeeze enough to make a difference. You have to squeeze further than you think in order to re-shape the tube, metal will spring back to original shape.
If you don't do the first part with the clamps than you'll make the tube probably too wide in the double stack area, causing rounds to slip past the follower while feeding. If it actually became too narrow then you'll have have too much friction while feeding, being unreliable.
Also, if they are STI mags you do have the option of contacting them and indicate they are out of spec. They will probably send you replacement tubes.
good luck.

I've had mine (WilieyX with interchangeable lenses) for probably 10 years, holding up very well. Good luck with your search

IMO the best

"ogiebb" has been a member on this site for a long time. He has sold many items through the classifieds. I'm sure if you contacted him he would be straight up with you about the Limcat. As far as attention to build quality a Limcat would typically be greater than a factory STI build.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I prefer Grams everything. IMO his stuff is the best hands down.
Good luck

Extractor tension is too tight and/or there might not be enough bevel on the bottom edge so the rounds can pivot up under it. Plus, is the extractor hook holding the case in the deep part of the groove or along the forward bevel? Back of case needs to be sitting tight against the breach face and if the hook is on the bevel it will force the case not to sit tight to the breach face.

170pf should keep you safe plus work the comp better.

If the factory ones always worked for you why not just get those?

What drobson said.

Resurrecting an old thread. Picked up a pound of BlueDot just to try.
1st, definetly has a pleasant aroma when fired....
2nd, for a 124 MG CMJ it took 9.0 grains to just make major.
At 9.5 grains the 38SC case was full and getting compressed loads.
Did not notice any unburnt powder, even down at 8 grains where I started at.
Full size 38SC STI open gun, EGW 7-port EDM comp, no barrel holes.
seemed to track nice, glad to know it's an option if I needed it.
