  1. Hello: Here are some pics of a slide I am working on. Still in the white and will need some cleaning up before adding a coating or plating. Thanks, Eric

Eric, I really like it. Can't wait to start testing loads with it.

  2. Just wanted to share an experience of great customer service with Warne Scope Mounts. I actually managed to strip out the quick throw lever on the scope mount for my AR after many years of use. I contacted Warne today to see if I could purchase a replacement for this and they informed me of their warranty.

Justin at Warne asked about the mount and said he was shipping me a free replacement out today. I offered to pay shipping, Justin declined and thanked me for using their products.

This is great customer service and standing behind the product.

Thanks for reading. I hope this helps someone out in the future when looking for a scope mount.

  3. Just home from the 8 hour drive. I have so many compliments for this match.

The stages had a great mix of shooting skillset, and many had a variety of ways to solve them.

The match staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The match ran like a well oiled machine.

The 6 berm 12 stage idea and design worked extremely well.

    The range food was awesome.

The range facility was excellent, and had enough parking.

Mother nature played havoc on the stages and some of the shooters, but the match staff was on top of it and bounced right back without missing a beat.

All of squad 11 had a fun time, we cut up and laughed a lot. Any of the other squads that we bumped into seemed to be having just as much fun. I talked to a lot of shooters and did not hear any complaints.

The whole mood of everyone at the match was very upbeat, competitors and staff.

The prize table was a random drawing and very generous. As much as there was, it took a lot of money from the match and a lot of hard work to gather that much stuff. The whole group had fun at the prize / awards time. Lots of laughs and applause.

If you can make the Mile High next year, then do it. you will be pleased.

  4. Shot this one today, had a smooth run and mag change for a time of 5.74 and 55 points for a 9.5818 HF, netting a 100% for limited.

Yeah Ace it looked really smooth.

    mine was a 9.0764 for around 97% I think it was 6.28 down 2 or 3

  5. A great big THANKS ! to all the match staff, and sponsors of the match. It is greatly appreciated. I truly know it is a lot of hard work and dedication to put on a match. Without all of these people that made it happen, we would not have events like this. If I did win a raffle gun then no one told me, lol. I think the last name of the person called was Stanford. Bit it was my grandson, Alexander from League City, TX that was drawing the names from the bucket for the gun raffles.

  6. If the round struck the ground within 10 feet of the shooter, regardless of it going through a wall or prop, and there is NOT a target within 10 feet of the shooter to engage then its clearly an AD and should be a DQ. Rule 10.4.2 is pretty cut and dry. There were no targets to engage within 10 feet of the shooter and the round impacted the ground within 10 feet of the shooter. The ruling should have been a DQ based on what happened and what is defined in the rules.

Now, if there was a target within 10 feet of the shooter to engage then it would not be a DQ. But there wasn't on that stage. All of the targets that could be engaged through both of the ports were well past 10 feet from the shooter.

    Cha-Lee,

I was up on the next squad, and I may have seen a different bullet impact. But the round struck the back corner of the container about 3 inches above the ground, which was well beyond the 10 feet rule. I agree the targets where well beyond 10 feet.

    D
