  1. Tactical Sports from Peltor are good middle ground options.
  2. Just about every major store in Colorado sells them and they have an store online: www.lsholster.com LS Holster is currently working on a solution for all side mounts but If you have a side mount now, I know they can do some of them, just depends on what it is and how it's made. LS Holster will be one of the first to have an enclosed holster that is compatible with thumb breaks as well real soon. You can contact the guys there and they can help you out.
  3. Agreed, I have the BladeTech on a BOSS hanger for my AccuShadow and it's worked fine. For whatever reason it isn't an exact fit and the gun doesn't "snap" in the way my other Bladetech holsters do. But by using the thumb screws it holds it secure enough without impeding the draw. I wouldn't trust the retention for 3Gun, but it's fine for USPSA. LS Holster in Colorado almost exclusively uses the BOSS with excellent success. They managed to fit the BOSS, G-CODE RTI and Comp-Tac PLM onto one platform so you can change them if you ever needed to. Where do you guys notice the Springer to be most popular? Divisions? Regions? Fishsticks - you will find if you have a 1911/2011 that many makers have a hard time indexing the trigger guard because of the frame size, depends on who you use and what type of material they mold the gun in.
  4. Thank you all. I served 6 years in the Marines and am now a career fire fighter. Crazy I know. I will be shooting a .40 STI Edge this year. I'm familiar with reloading but was always payed to shoot company ammo. First for everything!
  5. I've been using Long's Shadow Holsters for about 4 years in the tactical world, curious if anyone has used their holsters for competition. Looking to get into IPSC Limited this year. I am getting a STI 2011 Doublestack. Heres a photo of his huron holster.
  6. Just getting into the sport. Been a military/law shooting coach for nearly 11 years.
