  1. The safeties came out easy and next is the fitting of the new extended safety - I can see the profile I need to match but wanted to see if there was any advice/link/video I could check out?

    Thanks!

    Shadow 2 and 92X Performance:

Thanks! I saw this when it came out but not sure how much the 92X Performance compares to the LTT?  Different trigger bar and other stuff right?

  3. I just got a DVC-P and don't regret it from what I've seen of the Staccato P.  The Staccato P isn't bad at all but you can tell the refinement on the DVC line that I'm not sure will exist in the new Staccato line up (since DVC will be going away).

So, I either spent my money poorly or made a great choice for a model that won't be replaced...the jury will be out for a while...

  4. Can anyone compare the LTT trigger to a tuned CZ shadow or 75?

I've been able to get some pretty good results with Cajun and CZ Custom parts on the CZs but haven't had an opportunity to try the double action on the LTT (yet!).

    Thanks!

The new APX Target (long slide, 4.7" barrel, 5# trigger, adjustable sights, optics plate) looks interesting.  I am waiting to see how retail prices compare to the MSRP of $699.

I'm curious as well - looks like the best setup for competition.  Probably a bit behind the normal answers (G34, P320 X5, etc) but I like the APX grip texture and overall shooting action.

We’ve been doing upgrades with fat comp hammers, firing pins, lighter springs and been coming out great!

lift the sear spring to get safety out

I got a 12# and 13# on their way and see what I like best.

Do you know if it's a single detent in there?  My safeties are kinda mushy and I've ordered the extra power detent spring to help with that...but there might be two 🙂

Easier to change safety on this than an S2. Just lift the spring and park it out of the way, take the right one out first, then the left. Now put in the new one. And put the spring back down. The key is taking the right one out first.

That's it?!?  Awesome - way easier then.  I assumed (incorrectly) that they were press fit in in some way...

  8. I was torn on my A01-LD when I first got it...was too similar to my S2 and the trigger wasn't as nice which was surprising.

However, the more I shoot it the more I like it and the build quality and materials is excellent!  I'll try the lighter hammer spring and extended firing pin to see how I like it.

Any advice on how to get the safeties off?  I do like the S2 setup a bit better for that...

I just put ZR rod with the 13 flat Wilson spring in today. I will shoot it tomorrow. I will say that it's difficult to compress that spring and rod for assembly.

I got the ZR guiderod and Wilson’s springs....but can’t get the damn thing in - I feel a shorter spring would be better...

    Any tips?

We have 2 SFs, one has the Lok thin checkered, one with Lok thin bogie. I think we both agree the bogie is better. Angle is the same, just better gripping texture. I did NOT like the SF without the grip change, the OE grip just made my knuckle rub the point on the beaver tail and felt weird.

Thanks a ton for the reply - I have the same knuckle issue to a lesser extent but I’m tired of adjusting my grip.

Off to go buy some LOK grips 🙂

I have both, I like both. The tipping point as been now the the SF is reliable, which it wasn't at first with low PF ammo, was the lok grip thin grip which changed it to more familiar and changed my grip so my thumb knuckle doesnt dig into the beaver tail angle. The X5 Legion is just dead reliable, isn't picky about anything, uses 1911 springs right out of the box so easy to tune to your PF. Only thing I hate about the Legion is the round indication notch in the barrel vents dirty gases into the optic even its its pretty rear mounted like mine is. In short, neither is perfect out of the box, and I think you could make either work just fine.

Which grips did you go with?  The thin appears to change the angle but that might not be the case...

You'll want to get the GG competition trigger kit if you wanna lower the pull weight. The only downside with the GG kit is that it feels less clicky and less crispy. This is based on my experience comparing it to a standard X5 trigger.

    This ^^^^

I had two regular X fives - one apex and one GG and I found both mushy with a less distinct break.

Just got a X five legion and the trigger is much better.  Good enough that I don’t plan on doing anything to it.

Not totally sure of whats unique about on X5L trigger other than the trigger shoe.

Im curious to see what a Burke trigger feels like for the X5L...

  13. I had one - was my favorite "glock" due to the grip angle but it had a few things I didn't like:

    • Price - not worth it IMO (I'm not against expensive pistols, just don't see the extra benefits over some customization for a LOT less).
    • Trigger - the new "pro" flat face trigger left a lot to be desired (pre travel, break, etc).  I got a deal on a Zev fulcrum and it was MUCH better
    • Holsters - had a hard time finding one that fit when my usual G17 didn't fit great and needed modification

So, I sold it to a buddy who loves it.  I went for more competition oriented stuff...but will look again when they have a G19 sized option 🙂

The X5 Legion is cut for the Romeo 1 Pro and Romeo 2 according to their description which from what I understand is the same as the DeltaPoint Pro. Will know for sure in a few days when mine arrives.

Sorry - I should have been clearer to what I was referring to.  I meant the sigs are still limited compared to other red

dots available with plate systems (glock MOS, Walther PPQ Q5, etc).
