So do these dies eliminate the Dillon bulges and hourglass shape in 9mm brass??

Yes they totally do.  The rounds come out as stock as possible. Also if you want a 10%off code for Mighty Armory send me an email at ar159915@gmail.com and I will send you my code.

  2. I have been using Mighty Armory dies for a while also part of the team. Let me know of you have any questions on the dies or ability of the dies.

Just a little but of information but last year at USPSA Open Gun Nationals, my velocities at the chrono stage were within 5fps of each other on the three rounds they fired.  The only thing different I had done to my reloads was started to use the Mighty Armory resizing die.  The made my ammo so consistent and also no ammo issues during the Match.  I was able to win B Class in Open at Nationals.

  3. I got my Honcho 2 weeks ago.  I ordered mine only in 9 major.  I only want to shoot open so i didn't feel the need for a limited or 9 minor barrel.  Liking it a lot.  Only issue I had was the trigger is 3+ pounds.  Other folks i talked to have lighter but mine gauges consistently at over 3.  I will tweak it and lighten it.  Good luck.
Thats crazy, my trigger came in at 1.75 lbs

  4. Thanks for the input - I shoot open minor and do not reload.  At larger matches I shoot 9mm major.  Since I only have 9mm mags I have been leaning toward the 3 9mm barrel options.

Did you upgrade to the Stainless Grip or did you stay with aluminum?

I got the steel grip becasue my other open gun has one. For me once I went to the steel grip I will never go back to plastic. Also if you are going to shoot 9mm minor then I recommend getting the 1 port comp barrel as well. The 3 port comp will not cycle the minor ammo. I use winchester ranger 147 gr for duty and its hot stuff and the honcho will not cycle it with the 3 port comp. So i will be ordering a 1 port comp barrel to use that ammo since I will have an abundance of that ammo soon.

  5. I received my honcho about a month ago. I have switched out the barrels to try them out but I mainly shoot open. I have been mainly using the 9 major barrel. My plan is to shoot limited soon so I will be switching out the barrel. Also, if I go shoot a major match I will switch it out to 38 SC since my other open gun us 38SC and that way I will have a back up readily available if needed. So really it's up to you how often to change the barrels. I will definitely say that the gun is totally worth it and you will not be disappointed. Below is a link to a Facebook post on the last match I shot with my honcho. I ended up winning the match.

  6. I know some people that use that optic on the rts2 mount, they have to modify the mount and Dremel right where the ramp starts going up so the optic can fit on that front end where that extra material is at.

  7. So whichever has those mighty armory dies I would like to know more information. Send me a pm so I can ask some questions about those dies. I am really interested.

  8. I have been using the undersize die mentioned above for 4 years. I have not had any issues with those dies. If you start having brass with alot of buldge then it might be best to use a buldge buster prior to loading them to help with that buldge.

  9. I used a slide ride for about 3 years and never had any issues. It was the aluminum click one. I rarely had to rezero or anything. Now I switched over to the holosun 510C and it is doing good for now. I switched it over the winter break and was going to start using it for matches this season but I have not been able to do that. No matches are being done where I am from becasue of the virus. I like the holosun window which is a lot bigger. We shall see how that red dot runs this season.

  10. With my previous open gun pistol which was an STI built open gun with no popple holes I used 11.3gr of AA7 with 115 PD. Using small rifle primers loaded at 1.245 oal and i got 171 PF. I dont know what magnum primers will do. I have never used magnum primers.

  11. AA7 meteres perfectly.  Great for tons of pressure. Im going to try 115s around 1500fps and see what i can come up with

I'm glad you tried it out and liked it. Let me know what you think of the 115. Like I said its snappier but to me the gun comes back on target so much faster and I feel like I can get my 2nd shot off quicker. Again that's me and it might not work for everyone.

Curious what everyone is using for 38sc loads.. major and minor... im currently in the process of working up a load with hs6 for the wifes new akai customs.. 124g jhp starting at 7.4-8.4g to see the differences.  thanks in advance.. happy shooting..

What Akai do you have? I have an Akai V8 and below are the loads I have used.  I only use 115 gr bullets becasue I feel its flatter and return to zero is faster for me

9.7 Gr of HS6,115gr precision delta HP, 1.245 oal, 173 PF

    12 gr of AA#7, 115 gr PD, 1.245 oak, 178 PF

I like the 12 gr of AA7. I feel like the gun stays flatter.

  13. Either you went full auto or have the fastest splits i've ever heard
Lol no full auto it was my finger. They were close up targets so I just let it rip. It also helps when I have 1.5lbs trigger.
