  1. Thanks for all the comments, the match went well with only 30 shooters and 3 squads. Made a note to make the squads 8 or so for the next one. We had a total of 7 stages and they averaged out to about an hour a piece to run 10 shooters through. I did change a few of the WSB’s and some of the targets placements. It was a LOT of work and grateful we had a heck of a team helping with set up and tear down. My next one has not been scheduled yet but will be 5 stages max and have less targets. It was a great learning experience for sure

  2. with a pistol, some say shoot one star first then go to the second, when I shoot a shotgun I always aim for the real plates hoping to get lucky and hit one of the front ones as well.  On the single ones the fastest way seem to be the top one of the shoulder ones the other shoulder one and then the others will roll up to you

Just ran one again this last weekend with shotgun, got 3 doubles, 2 fell off and got 2 hits on the last 2. 5 shots and 10 plates...it was sweet

Slinging an empty gun, on the clock, in my opinion, is not a good idea.  Too high a chance that someone can knock a pistol out of a holster.

My mistake...should have been off the clock, thanks

I agree, might be changing that up a bit.

Another thing to think about is the reset time.  If a stage is all on a single line, nothing can be reset until everything is cleared, if it is set up with a down range flow, then it can be reset behind the shooter.  That really helps a match stay moving.

Only a couple bays we have would enable that type of reset. Most of them are not very deep and kind of narrow but will see if i can move a few things around.

    Really appreciate the feedback

  4. I have one and it's a great rifle. I too got mine with a heavy discount code but well worth the full price IMO. Shooting my 168 gr BTHP loads out and getting a .5 MOA group out of it at 100 and 200 yards.

    1st picture is a 1/2" dot at 100 and the 2nd is a 1" dot at 200. 459e942cdd9ccae1746161bfc1983643.jpga9ed151271787d6d71b4fae0f6a7b15f.jpg

Thank you Cope2509. Yes sir. Due to circumstances outside of our control we had to cancel this 2017 event. We look forward to shooting with you soon. As cope 2509 stated we will open registration for the 2017 WALKING DEAD NIGHT TIME MULTI GUN in mid June.  Match Date will be overnight Sat. Oct. 28th!

Dang hate to hear this but at least you are following it up with another. Sounds like a good one not to miss!

  6. That's what I thought. It's not nice to say, but I wish someone would have asked him to leave. There was a few new shooters there that he left a bad taste in their mouths, I'm not sure that they will ever want to come back. I didn't feel that it was not my place to say something to him because I'm not a pro ether, I'm just a guy that likes to shoot and make new friends.

You probably wasn't the only one that felt that way but I see it as safety is safety, either it is ok or not. I am not 100% on all the rules but have been put into situations where I was forced to DQ someone by a simple unsafe act but he came back and thanked me for doing it. It is easy to fall into complacency, just a couple of weeks ago I was reminded by a brand new shooter not to have my finger on the trigger when reloading...it just happens
