    There is no testing issues or quality issues. There is way more orders than planned. We have already sold 3 times more in 2 months than we planned for the year. We have begun shipping DVC'S to our shooting teams. We apologize for the delay and will get them to you as fast as we can without sacrificing quality.

    I'm glad that you guys are shipping to the shooting teams. That means we should be getting ours soon for those that placed an order in January.

    this reminds me a gun I was waiting on 6 months to build. I was told it was going to finish 3 times. - Finally got it at the year mark. Disappointing. My personal thought are if you bring it to the shot show and have not done all your testing then shame on you. Just my opion. However, I have a few STI's and have never been let down yet. When I ordered mine Dawson said it would be around the 60 day mark ( April ) so I will not bug them until then. Though like everyone else it is killing me. This will be my first open gun. I am dying to go to the dark side.

    Yep I feel your pain. I ordered my holster and mags for it already.

    STI did a great job choosing the initial finish offerings. Not only does the TiNi/HC look great, but it should wear very well and hold resale value better than blued or painted finishes. I doubt many will want to further modify the slide or frame, so I don't see much of a downside to the HC. Slide and frame cuts suit my taste-just "racey" enough without going overboard. I'm #12 on Dawson's limited 9mm list, and have high hopes for the positive changes at STI. Dustin, I'm glad to hear you guys aren't rushing under delivery pressure. I'd rather have it right than fast. Currently waiting on my new P10 that went back for some TLC.

    If I had my way I would have the DVC with an Aperio barrel and a tactical rail for a light.... if only I knew how to make that happen......

    I'm with you, no need for a tactical rail, just the Apiero Barrel and DVC serrations and some slide lightening lol Dustin, can't you just sell me your gun lol.

    I supposedly have Dawson's first .40 Limited reserved (ordered from Dawson on the 21st or 22nd I think), but all I have been told is that they ordered their first few from STI on the 14th of January and were told that they should expect around an 8 week delivery wait.

    I was also told that they do rolling reorders, so as soon as their "in-stock" order of 2 guns for a particular SKU are sold, they auto-order 2 more. I am not sure if this was different given the high interest in the DVC, but maybe.

    I would be happy to post when I hear anything about mine being received by Dawson or shipped to my FFL, hell I would be happy to hear anything, I am a bit too excited I think.

    I did the same thing and reserved a Limited in 9mm. I heard the same thing so hopefully I am in the top 45. I sold a couple of my Glocks and some other gear to purchase one. On another note, I wonder if the factory mags that ship with the DVC are factory tuned?

    I would love it if they were, but I have not heard anything to indicate that they are modified or tuned.

    I just hope they run flawlessly in competition lol
