Congrats man. Daughters can be awesome.

It is trigger time, so yes it helps. (Check out some of the Japanese shooters (and others) who can't use firearms at home for practice and use Air-soft for their training.)

I want to zero my AR for 200 yrds. I have heard that 25yrds is equal to this, but I have also been told it is 50 yrds. Any help would be appreciated.
25yd zero is much closer to 300yd just so you know. (Also as stated above any little error at 25 will be greatly magnified at 300.)

Probably some fitting required. Most frames sold are gunsmith fit which, means a little oversized. So the frame probably would have to be fitted.

If the swager is set up properly it will not affect the non-crimped brass. (You will feel the difference on the Super swager between crimped and non-crimped primer pockets. As in no real resistance on the non-crimped brass.)

Sounds like you need new brushes, not so sure about the bearings.

Propane with an adapter and silicon oil is the least expensive (presuming you refill the small propane cylinders from a larger lower cost source).

Fatigue is what causes the springs to weaken, there is more fatigue caused by loading and unloading than by leaving the mag loaded. (More cycles on the springs, the cyclic stress causes more fatigue in the metal.)

I have worked with my oldest son (he can't hear anything below 85 db) signs and taps work. The problem I see is 'Stop', my idea for this is a high intensity strobe (which for some reason all of the deaf people I have known see faster than hearing people), or a green laser. (Haven't tested these yet, just thinking.)

So.. On this topic.
I see a lot of people doing exactly what is in this thread... I call it the steel dance, where they setup, shoot, don't wait for confirmation, transfer their weight to move on, realize they didn't hit it, transfer the weight back... repeat.
So I guess my question would be - Do you wait to make sure you hit it prior to starting to move?
Call the shot and move. (Saw a lot of the dance though on stage 7 of the Desert Classic)

Conversion kit and die kit, my advice, get another toolhead and stand, that way switching calibers is very easy, dies are already set assuming you're using the same recipe for each caliber. Just check the first 10 or so rounds and spot check after that. I rotate through 9mm, .40, .45 and .380 this way. Costs a little more but man is it less work switching calibers. Dillon sent me an entire primer feed assembly when I had a primer detonation chain reaction, so now one is set for LPP, the other for SPP, so even that makes switching from SPP to LPP easier, two bolts! Had the spare parts kit to fix the old primer assembly and get the press back up and running before Dillon shipped the new assembly.
A quick change kit includes the tool head, tool head stand, powder measure, and powder die for less than the parts cost separately.

Hey I got them in one shot each...I worked stage 7 of the Desert Classic, there were 2 plates at ~20 yards. I estimate that the average # of shots to knock down both plates was about 5 1/2. As Pat said the answer is in fundamentals (in this case mostly trigger control).
Good job, most people took about 4 shots, several took a magazine or more. All to Revo shooters did it in 2 shots though...

Interesting

Congratulations on your career and move!

I’m pretty sure Caspian had a bunch of the 170mm mags made to take to the Area 2 match which was just held and probably have some left over.
They had several on their table Sunday at about noon. (Some 38 Super and some 40)

Only one sure stop with a handgun on a bear, and normally if you are taking that shot you are too close to the bear.
(Through the mouth into the brain, now you know why it is too close...)

Opps wrong topic...

Amended rule book, NROI rulings, BOD notes... Lots of printing...
PS "Snowflake" - awesome, how can we get the mods to change your avatar subtitle?
They already did...

Be better to just machine the bullets from bar stock.
That could be expensive...

if you go the uranium route please make sure tts depleated,
Anyone else really know what depleted uranium means?

Some non-military brass is crimped also.

0.020 in. excess will cause the rear of slide to protrude 1/4" out of battery from the frame. Barrel is still in the unlocked position.
Use plenty of cutting oil such as LPS Gold.
Do you already have a finishing reamer?
Didn't recall it being that far, however I defer to your knowledge.

The 'Elvis' - peanut butter, bacon, a banana, and a touch of honey, toasted. Suprisingly good.
