A BIG thank you from the staff for all the compeitors that joined us this year for our tribute to the veterans and military.
We used to hold this match the first weekend in June. The typical Southwest spring winds are usually done by then. Two years ago we got nailed by a late wind, so we moved the match two weeks later in June. Last year was fine, but we got nailed again this year. We wanted to have an early summer match, and to avoid some of the multiple match scheduling in the Southwest later in the year.
There has been a suggestion to move the match to the fall. I think that is a wise idea.
Middle of Oct might be a good tune up for Area 2

Thanks to Rod, Jerry, Nancy and the whole crew. Thanks for a great match. Only complaint I have was, the AZ.Border Inspection Station made me clean out the sand from my car before entering AZ. Yesterday it took me an hour to get the grit from my range bag. Well in the scheme of things thats not a bad thing. See you at Area 2 or next year.

That's TaterHead, as in Mister Potato Head. At 59, I'm hardly a Tot. Now, Tate Moots' kids are known as the Tater Tots.
I could not help my old self.

Anyone hear about the latest match status? I know there is lots of smoke in the area. I sure hope that or fires dont affect the match. If anyone has info please

Looks like there is one slot left! Come on folks fill it up, this is a great match put on by some great folks. I've been shooting this since they started and they get better every year.

Does anyone know what's happening? Got results yesterday at this time but nada today, Heard there was very little movment in many of the stages, accuracy being the point. Hope this has nothing to with knees as I'm 67.

Just sent my app in. First year at Area 3, heard from a friend 3 staff puts on a good match. Anyone know if is a lost brass match?

Been shooting this since Steve started this and this was by far the best of the best. Everything went smooth thanks to the RO's who were great. Stages looked easy but boy could they bite you. Thanks Steve, Polle and the whole crew for a good match.

So it's ok to sign up on Friday?
Sign up as a new shooter or sign in as a pre-registered shooter? I ask because I think it may be full if not it will be close. I would email Pollie or Steve to make sure there are still spots left.
And as an aside I went out this morning to shoot the standards and man oh man it is brutal. 5 seconds at 50 is wickedly hard. But this is going to be fun grinding it out. Time really is going to be secondary to accuracy.

I'm already signed up, guess I'm just talking about the shooter packet.

Thanks to Rod and Pat for including us old vets in the mix. Started shooting this in 2005 and they get better each year. See you in June.

Iknow this is too much to ask for but it would be nice if the weather held thru the end of January. Low 70's.
God's shooting ground is in Arizona.

Let the games begin. Last year was the best since I started shooting A2 in 02, hope this year is as good.
Good luck to all.

Hows the westbound I-40 drive over the mountains, that time of year? any reason I shouldnt think about driving from OK?
40W and 17S should be ok just depends on the weather at the time. Pete

Got my conformation today, Happy days are here again

Thanks to Rod, Tom etc. for a good match. Stages, Staff were great plus I had some fun. Only issue was 15 shooters on a squad makes for a long day when you have reshoots and equipment failures. 8 to 6pm Saturday and 8 to 1pm for 3 stages on Sunday. Don't know, maybe it was the squad, but overall a good match.

I ask this every year and forget from year to year. Is this gonna be a lost brass match?
From the entry confirmation letter: "You may recover brass as long as it does not delay the squad's movement."
Thanks Tom, see you soon
