I finally decided that I want to shoot open revolver for steel challenge so I went to a LGS to check out the 627 V-comp.I can't understand how a pistol can leave the "performance center" with a trigger that horrible! I just find it hard to believe that roughly $1500 I would have to do something that they promote as already being done. Don't get me wrong, I have spent well over double that for my limited and open guns, but if rather have the option to pay less fit something without the "PC" markings knowing that I have to do trigger work before I shoot it. I believe that they have forced me into waiting for the illusive used V-comp. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Just bought one and no fitting was required for my Shadow Target. I wish that I would have bought this when I bought the gun! What a world of difference!

I had a similar problem, but I decided to make a load that worked decent in both, only because it's for USPSA and not bullseye. I use black bullet international 135 grain roundhouse at 1.130 OAL with 5.2 grains of longshot. It runs good enough for me in both of my 9's.

I have the shadow target (1) and love it! I have large hands and the gun is comfortable with the thin aluminum and also the stock wood grips. I've heard a lot about the rear sight breaking, but luckily it hasn't happened to me. I also shoot a custom STI IN 38 super for open and a custom Hi-cap Caspian in 40 for limited, but actually have more fun shooting my CZ in production! I'm actually thinking about making this my limited gun. You can't go wrong with any of your choices. Good luck

I can't run anything longer than 1,150 with SNS or BBI 180 grain bullets in mine with TTI extensions, they bind up after approximately 12 rounds.

I have actually converted a Dan Wesson 1911 10mm to a .40 and a .357 SIG without any problems. There are a couple of barrel manufacturers that produce them. I would only use a ramped barrel. I'm a huge fan of the SIG and 10mm, but I choose to shoot 40 fit limited and 38 super for open because I lose a lot of brass at matches.

Are you able to co witness with the Burris, I noticed that you still have the front sight on?

You can also buy a 4" buffing wheel for a drill, there are polishing kits available that also contain different rubbing compounds. You won't be able to do the inside, though.

Taylor Freelance has them, I just bought 5 kits of the EAA for my Caspian hi cap. I've had better luck with the EAA magazines in my 40.
Performance center, or lack of for the money?

They definitely built and excellent gun, I own 2 686's and love them. They are both no dash models and I have polished the internals to get nice pull, but you know you have to do that with those models, I just wouldn't expect it from their performance shop.
