I'll check it out. Thanks.

Definitely the accu shadow. No contest. The g34 next. M&P last.
-
Thanks for the advice. I'll pick up a couple dawson mags & try them in my range officer 9mm.
-
I just wish vz's weren't so dang expensive!
-
The operator 2 grips are nice as well. I have them on my 1911.
-
I love the Diamondbacks. They are super aggressive.
-
I like the polymer grips and the g10. VZ grips are great especially with aggressive texture.
-
I love my 9mm SA Range Officer. I just ordered a Dawson FO front sight. I wish TTI made a FO sight for 1911's.
-
Here is one approach:
Springfield Range Officer 9mm:
Dawson fiber optic front sight:
Cylinder&Slide tactical II trigger kit:
EGW 1911 Silverline blue bolt-on mag well / flat checkered mainspring housing:
Dawson 9mm magazines 10-round with aluminum base pads:
Regular walnut grips (will have to research source and update this later):
Remove OEM sear, disconnector, hammer.
Remove OEM mainspring housing and internals.
Install EGW mainspring housing and magwell.
Install trigger kit.
Use OEM rear sight, recoil spring, guide, and plug.
Install Dawson front sight.
Result is 42.6 ounces with an empty magazine. Very accurate.

Sounds like a great gun!

What are the best most reliable 9mm single stack mags? Dawson?
-
Do the RO's have a break in period? This is my first 1911 and I'm used to shooting plastic guns.
-
I did have a couple hiccups my first time out using my reloads. Switched to factory new and not a single failure.
-
I just purchased a RO 9mm. Shot it twice and really liking it.
-
I run a Dawson FO front sight on my CZ 75. It's pretty nice. I did have to file it down a little though.
-
Dawson precision makes good Glock sights as well. Fixed and adjustable.
-
Nothing beats a FO fromt sight for target shooting imo. I love the red dot.
-
Take a look at the TTI Glock sights. I really like them.
-
I prefer a fixed rear
-
My CZ 75 also shoots well with the center hold.
-
Needless to say I sold that sig. My glocks all shoot perfect with the center hold.
-
I do not like the 12 o'clock hold though. I had a sig that had that hold and I really hated having to cover the whole target in order to be accurate.
-
My dad is a rancher that grew up with old school six shooters. Mainly colts. He always taught me to use the 6 o'clock hold because that's what worked with those old western guns. It took me awhile to learn the center hold but now I like it much better.
-
I still can't decide if I like my g34 gen 4 better than the vp9. I'm leaning towards the g34 but the vp9 gains a little every time is shoot it.
-
I'm still getting used to the mag release. It's growing on me though.
Taming VZ grips
in 1911-style Pistols

I checked out lok grips website. They do look exactly the same. Is the quality & fit the same as VZ? If so, I'm going to pick up a set to try out.
Thanks for the tip.
