I used one on a 13.7" pin and weld, it's the best way to go for that. I was really impressed with that gas block, well made, low profile, and has detent adjustments.
That's reassuring. Thanks.

Are you already decided on a muzzle break? Can get one thats a smaller o.d. and allows a standard block to be removed.
Pretty much decided or the Armalite break. I'm running one now and like it, so unless someone here says to stay away from this JP 2 piece gas block, I'll probably go with it again and the Armalite 13.5 barrel.
My second choice is the Faxon 14.5 with the slim break.

Single or progressive?
Progressive definitely. Don't believe all the old Internet gab about starting with a single stage and moving to a progressive. Reading a couple reloading manuals and paying close attention is critical, but starting on a single stage is a waste of time and a decision you will regret.
And any favorite 147s?
Xtreme plated 147s will be easy to learn on.
I started with a square deal B and 4 years later I wish I had a 650.

Anyone have any experience with the JPGS-9D adjustable gas block? Or any other 2 piece gas block. I'm looking to build a 14.5 pin and weld and I'm look for options for a removable gas block.

Does anyone know of a source for a anodized black 9mm 100 round chamber checker other than Ben Stoeger's shop?

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Breda? I'm looking at getting one but they are still just a myth in my area and spending that kind of money without having seen one first hand is a little concerning for me.
Anyone that has held or shot one have an opinion on them? How do they feel, shoot, and load?
I'm also a little concerned about all the open holes in the top of the receiver Breda added for mounting optics. It seems that would be a invitation for dust and dirt to collect in the receiver. I would appreciate some thoughts on that issue. Mostly if it is an issue or not something I should worry about.

Any word on when a 5" without the thumb safety and without the loaded chamber indicator will be available?
My guess would be after they sell all the 4 inch models they prebuilt expecting to get the government contract.

It looks like the Apex parts are the same ones for the original M&P that also work in the 2.0. This leads me to believe that there aren't a lot of differences between the two guns, which kind of is a let down.
I wonder why the duty carry Apex AEK works but not the competition kit.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a small gunshot wound/blowout kit that isn't super expensive? Most of the ones I've seen seem really over priced when compared to the cost of the individual items included in them, but it would be nice to just buy a kit rather than look around for each piece separately and then trying to find the smallest bag everything will fit in.
Currently I just have some band aids in my range bag, and I've had to use them before
This is what I carry. One in the range bag, one in the car, one in the camelbak. Its simple, cheap, and versatile.

Does this mean that I could use my STI Edge for ESP??
I had the same question. After reading -
8.2.2.2 ESP Permitted Features and Modifications (Inclusive list):
T. Heavy or cone style barrels on firearms with barrel lengths of 4.25” or less.I'm thinking no on the Edge.

From a casual conversation with a higher authority I believe keeping PCC's bagged is gaining momentum.
I'm not sure I understand this line of thinking. The rifle in the picture had a chamber flag and has the muzzle pointed in a relatively safe direction. I don't see how sticking it in a piece of cloth is going to make it any safer.

I'm looking for a KeyMod section of Picatinny rail that also had a QD mount so that one small rail section can be used for either a TLR light or to attach a sling. Has anyone ever seen such a thing?

Bayou 147's over 3.6 of N320 @ 1.130. Great load in my M&P Pro9. I got a Springfield Range Office in 9mm that I'm getting ready to try these in.
3.6? Do you know what the power factor of FPS is on that load with the M&P?

For the guys that use walnut how do you separate your media from your brass?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I use one of these. Its cheap and it works

Like this...
I thought the case tray and bracket was money well spent until I saw this.
Seems completely unnecessary now.
Thanks

So with this, would you be able to get a APEX 6' slide and barrel in 40 and put it on a M&P 9 pro to make it a 40?
-
I use this profile, I opened up the bell a hair more, I also found some brands of brass work better than others.
Are you using the round nose seating stem or the one for SWC?
-
I'm trying to load BBI 9mm 147 flat point on my Square deal and I'm having issues with the bullets seating crooked.
Has anyone had any success loading this type of bullet profile on the SDB? Which seating stem did you use? I have tried both. The one for RN works a little better but I still get about 1 in 10 that fail the case gauge.
I have read about using epoxy to make a custom stem profile. Has anyone had success with this?
-
In my Apex barrel the 147 BBI can only be loaded to 1.135. The Acme's plunk and spin at 1.15.
I'm about to start developing a load for this as well. Is anyone else using this new BBI 147 w/out the lube groove? What OAL are you using?

I have been using the Sight Master Sight Pusher Tool T1003 for my M&P 9 Pro. Its crude but it has been working fine so far.
You have to put the pusher in a vise and to adjust the font sight you have to use the vise to support the slide. The screw is also very course which results in over corrections and multiple adjustments. Like I said, its crude. But it does work on a M&P Pro and is better than a punch and hammer.

Has anyone had any experience using this funnel with the square deal?
Which 13.5 inch barrel?

If you are using an adjustable gas block, does it matter if it is a mid or carbine length gas system?
