  1. A few gunsmiths in our sport that I've talked to really couldn't care less about being a member of the APG. It really is alot of politics. Once your in, if you rub the "good 'ole boy" board members the wrong way, your right back out! I had my first IPSC gun built by the then president of the APG, and it was a piece of junk. He has no clue what an IPSC gun goes through, or how to build one to withstand the punishment that we give a gun. This is just my opinion and experience with the APG!
  2. GBM, Try benchrest.com. They have a great forum there for this type of shooting. Many useful tips there as well.

  4. Remington 700 Sendero SF in 300 Ultra Mag. Santa was GOOD!!
  5. Those of you reloading for the 300RUM, what bullet and powder do you like the best, and what OAL are you loading with your chosen bullet? Thanks. John Dunn, When referring to the throat erosion comparison of the 223 and 300RUM, it has more to do with the amount of powder being burned than it does bullet velocity.
  6. I can't believe the RM made that call without looking into the circumstances! I also can't believe the audacity of the shooter to question your call when you are both standing there looking at a hole in the table. It would be quite obvious that he wasn't engaging a target when that shot was fired. You must of had a hell of a prize table at your club match to bring out that type of behavior.

    C-more Help

I agree with the others that 6moa is a good all around dot size. I shot an 8moa for a long time and a 12moa for about a year. I found that the larger dot made my shots sloppy, I guess that as soon as I saw brown cardboard behind the target I was pulling the trigger. The dot's can "go bad" or "dim". It is usually the module that goes bad, and can be replaced. I've had to do it many times.
  8. I have the high HF for limited as 7.7. That would make your run about 52%.
  9. Chriss, Cracked a slide after several hundred rounds of using 3N-37, and another damaged the barrel. These guns had only fired this powder, but it could be possible that this may have happened sooner or later anyway.
  10. Ron, I'm behind on this forum, sorry so late. I personally would not recommend 3N-37 in an open gun. I've used in limited and it's fine. But I have seen several people damage open guns using it. Apparently it packs a good punch when combined with a smaller 38 Super bullet. I really like VV powders. I have used N105 with great success, and currently use 3N-38 and like it better, but hard to get.
