A few gunsmiths in our sport that I've talked to really couldn't care less about being a member of the APG. It really is alot of politics. Once your in, if you rub the "good 'ole boy" board members the wrong way, your right back out!
I had my first IPSC gun built by the then president of the APG, and it was a piece of junk. He has no clue what an IPSC gun goes through, or how to build one to withstand the punishment that we give a gun.
This is just my opinion and experience with the APG!
