  1. I would like to know how bad the concussion is? If it is not much of any worse than my PRI QCB or my PWS FSC I will jump on one.Since I plan on running it on a 13.7" barrel I figure I should shy away if it is one of the extremely loud ones, but I really like the idea of the 2 tunable ports. Being that this is my first muzzle break I don't have anything to compare it to, but with that being said I took it out shooting at an indoor range. When I was at the end bay with a wall on my right hand side I could feel the concussive force bouncing back of the wall but nothing bad just enough to be noticeable. Then I shoot in the center bay and had no problems although the other shooters beside me said they could feel the blast. All in all I say it's worth it!
  2. I'll be taking it out this weekend. I'll get video and post a YouTube link here when I get it uploaded. Is there any why you have in mind on how you would like to see it tested?
  3. I just ordered the M-153gn18 which comes with the brake installed. Finally got to get out and shoot it today. The brake has what they refer to as "plugs" which have a flat head slot and a small dimple which would act as a pilot hole for when you drill it out. As far as tuning jets. No you tune it buy using docent sized drill bits. But they do offer replacement "plugs" if you open one up to far
  4. Thanks robco, soldier systems is a great sight. They have a bunch of "gunfighter moments" from some of the greats such as, Frank Proctor, Larry Vickers, Mike Pannone, etc. Plus a bunch of cool gear!
  5. If you have yourself a M&P, all you have to do is insert the mag with a little umph and the slide will "auto release". No fumbling with gross vs fine motor skills!
  6. Frank Proctor just had a good article on this here's the link. http://soldiersystems.net/2015/02/14/gunfighter-moment-frank-proctor-13/
  7. This season is a go thru have all the dates up on their website. Haven't heard any info on Rick though I'm sure the matches are still going to be just as good as they always are.
  8. You should come check out the Livingston Gun Club in Brighton. There's uspsa, shotgun matches, and 3-gun.
  9. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned using kettlebells. They will improve your gripping strength, cardio and overall fitness. And don't skimp or on the cheap ones at Walmart, if you get a good one( I recommend http://www.roguefitn...ue-kettlebells)theyhave a thicker handle which will really work out your grip strength swinging one of those bad boys for 10 min. Plus your significant other will like you new "hip mobility"

  11. Just found one I'll try to pick up. Thanks for all the input! http://www.armslist.com/posts/3961799/lexington-kentucky-handguns-for-sale-trade--cz-75-tactical-sports-in-40-s-w
  12. Yes I have shot 3 gun I got into it last year with the what I had and did pretty well already dropping duces like no other and can almost quad load everytime. And the rifle is pretty easy for me. I would say that the pistol is my weakness, but even then it's not that bad. And I guess I know where my tax returns are going now!
  13. My god that is beautiful, what's the price on something like that though?
  14. Up by you I'm not to sure but down here there Livingston gun club in Brighton, there's also one out in the thumb, Michigan multi gun, and another place over by grand rapids
  15. I bet if you smoked a cigar with long shaggy hair, while wearing a eye patch, and head band you would shoot your best! Snake Plisskin style!!!!
  16. I think I'm going to go with the 40 M&P 5" pro. Mostly because I already have 4 extra mags with tti extended base pads, a holster, and ask the supplies to reload for 40 and I do have a nice minor load already worked out. I'll just put CZ on my wish list for when I get some more disposable income. I think a full steel 9mm would be a nice gun but fiscally the pro makes more sense right now.
  17. I know how that goes. I'm also the youngest guy she I shoot (24), and it is pretty cool when the old dog slip up and I'm able to beat them. Especially when I'm using an ak and 870, and they have as much money in their equipment as I do in my car!
  18. First my game of choice is 3gun. And I do reload for 40 already. I just sold my M&P 40c to get a dedicated "game" gun. I am trying to decide between going with a M&P pro 5" or a CZ 75 variant. Also should I stay with 40 or make the switch to 9mm. Thanks for the input.
  19. I just started last year, and from what I learned is, like others have said RELAX. Just go to have fun and be safe, since this is your first comp, is not like you have anything riding on it ( unless you made a small side wager with some friends). The first comp I went to I didn't know anyone there and only knew the rules from what I read online. Just let the guys in your shooting group know that your new and they will tell you everything you need to know. You might even make some new friends. Again just don't worry about how you'll place and have fun with it!
  20. Where at in MI Kris? I'm in the Novi area, and shot at LGC. I started out with a ak-47 and now am building an AR for this year. So I would say just run what you have for now until you figure out what you really want!
  21. Hi guys names Mike. I'm 24 and from Northville MI. Pretty new to the gun game scene. Started 3 gun last year at the Livingston Gun Club. Lucky to have a up and coming local shooter, Rick Birdsal, form there. I started out last year with great I stay had ( m&p 40, ak-47, rem870) had a blast doing it and doing pretty well. Now this year I'm getting a little more serious about the game. In the process of seeing up a dedicated belt. I'm using the safariland els belt with invitacus practical shot shell caddies, and a comp-tac doh holster, ordered some tti extended base pads and got a stoger m3k with a Nordic comp +5 tube. Now time to start building my ar! Looking forward to growing in the sport and maybe making a national event soon.
