  1. No. RootNScoreIt does the updates for you during install process on the Nooks.
  2. Best moment was Liam Neeson deciding to have a chicken burrito (yes, you have to watch the whole movie to understand why it's funny). It's an OK sci-fi movie. The "I'm going to have to borrow your boat" part gave me a decided "Under Siege" flashback.
  3. Welcome! Have reloaded 10mm for Glock 20, Colt Delta, and S&W610. Currently having better luck finding commercial 10mm than .22 long rifle...... :-(
  4. Popped into one of the local Walmart Supercenters a few days ago, as usual went by electronics 'just because' and on the "close-outs table" find 4 NST's (BNVR300) and 2 NST-Glowlights (BNVR350). both 350's and three of the 300's were in the original shrinkwrap. Took the 3 unopened NST's ($30 ea), put them all to charge when I got home. All showed B&N welcome screen (no 'bricks'). So, if you're still in the market for NST's to run Practiscore, and are willing to gamble $30+-, check your Walmart. short version: all 3 units now running Practiscore 1.2.18 long version: finished the install on the first unit, had an "oh sh**" moment when the PS splash screen said 1.2.7. Went back and looked thru the rootnscoreit.com website. There are two pages that include "Download the Root'n-Score-It file (latest is located here)". On the main page (http://www.rootnscoreit.com/) the link does point to 1.2.18. On the 'Create microSD card/Windows' page (http://www.rootnscoreit.com/msdc_windows.html) the link still points to 1.2.7. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Having read the site previously, and being in a hurry, guess which page I started on...... yep, the one for creating the microSD install card.... ATTN: J.C. Wren, you might want to fix that link.... downloaded the correct file, re-imaged the card, started over again, success.
  5. Looked in my Lyman 45th Reloading Handbook (1970). Under .45acp out of a 5" 1911 using a 230 gr jacketed bullet it lists a starting load of 5.1 gr., max load 6.1 gr. Given that the data is 40+ years old, use at your own risk. ;-)
  6. Greetings, East Tennessee! Was in elementary school in Gatlinburg for half a school year back when it was a >little< town......
  7. I'm at work so I can't check just yet, but I think there were .45acp revolver loads for 7625 in one of the older Lyman load books. I recall I used to use 7625 in .357 revolver loads before I switched to Win231 and later Hogdon Titegroup.
  8. But only in the IOs not Android version, correct? Ditto what Jim asked here. I'm running android 1.2.18 on a Nexus 7 (Asus) tablet and a Motorola MB865 smartphone. I have looked in Menu Trees; 1) SYNC./(exports), and 2) View Results/Stage Results/(classifier stage)/By Division and do not see anything other then the ability to export/email scores. If 1.2.18 on your android device can create/export a USPSA activity/classifier report, please specify the exact menu tree to that function. Alternatively; is a 1.64 version ( with comparable function to iOS 1.64) for android in the works in the forseeable future? While I'm being a PIA here, I'll add one more. Is anyone working on a way to get a Practiscore version that runs on the currently available Nook e-readers (now that the simple touch models have gone the way of the dinosaurs, dodo bird, and passenger pigeon)?
  9. If it was me, I'd shoot the 2011 in Limited, the 1911 in Single Stack. The XD and USP I'd shoot in Limited/Limited10 to avoid the Production "everybody scored minor" penalty. Even better, find some IDPA matches to exercise the .45's in for a change of pace.
  10. Started competing in ipsc style matches (with S&W 586) at the local club (Pharr Action Shooters GC05) around 1990 and joined USPSA in 1993. In mid/late 90's got elected stats officer (apparently for life) for the local club. When not in the stat shack, continued to compete with a Glock 20, some 1911's, and an STI Edge 2011. Have been aware of the BE Forums for over a decade and would peek in here as guest to search for some specific piece of info. Have watched match scoring progress from paper forms and calculators to spreadsheet on a windows for workgroups laptop to a series of better computers running MSS and later EZWinScore to the present Practiscore on a variety of handheld devices. Finally registered for an account here so I could post the questions I didn't find an answer for.....consider yourself warned. ;-) John Donohue A23409
