  1. I have shot tons of the 125gr blue bullets. They were a great bullet when I used them, and shot them out of a 75b, 75 shadow and sp01 shadow. I only have a Titegroup recipe but will dig it up if you want it.

Yes please... Just ordered a boat load of them and also have plenty of TG currently

  2. I haven't slugged my Shadow barrel, but many who have come up with .3555 so you should be shooting at least a .356 bullet.

Hmmmm. Well I guess when my order comes in I'll quickly find out if I just bought a bunch of hoser practice lead! I've only shot bayou 135s and MG 124jhps thru my shadows to this point but never had any noticeable accuracy issues with either. I will definitely do some more testing with the new bullets and see how they do. Fingers crossed they're good to go...

  3. Not to take over the thread, but I'm not really too familiar with this stuff. I shot a few cases of bayous last year, some BBI and then tried some jacketed and played. I never really paid attention to the diameter. Mainly I just picked 9mm and then went for the weight bullet I was looking for.... Am I missing out on something big here? I just made a pretty decent sized purchase from blue bullets due to their sale, and I'm hoping that I have nothing to be concerned about with a .355 diameter bullet. They'll be fed to a CZ shadow and I've never slugged the barrel..

  4. I haven't shot any but just gambled and picked up a couple cases of the 125gr for my shadow. Hopefully they work out, can't imagine there will be an issue. Anyone with experience with them would be reassuring!

  5. @shooterDrew. Practice with anything but Tula or Wolf primers. Matches use Federal if none of the other are 100% reliable. Saves money and you will find out alot about you trigger pull when the pistol does not go bang on first pull.

You could use Tula or Wolf but I've found those primers to be the most problematic. Federal are 100% (or so close it doesn't matter to me), CCI and Winchester are 98%+ using an extended FP and reduced power FPS. Never used Remington or S&B SP primers.

Ya prior to going with a CZ I had stocked up on a few S&B primers so my current situation is dropping in a 11.5lbs spring for practice and shooting the S&Bs up and then going with 8.5 and Feds for matches. In all truth I can't say I can really notice a huge difference after the buzzer between the 8.5 and 11.5, but as long as I can find federal primers I'll keep using 8.5 when I can. That DA is SOOOOOO light and smooth. I spent 10 years shooting a stock SigP229 for work so the CZ trigger is like a newfound miracle to me!

  6. 8.5# mainspring. FED primer only 100%. WIN running about 80-90%

    DA 4.0-4.5#, SA 1.75#

    didnt really like it.

The weights here are what I experienced, and I absolutely love it. Best trigger I've ever felt on a handgun. Wish there was some way to get this and be reliable with all primers. Mine was also only reliable with Federal. But the trigger is so great I'll just try and buy federal from now on so I can take advantage of it.

  7. Trigger-return springs for sure. Their floating trigger pin makes it a zillion time easier to replace this part.

I personally run CGW 13# recoil and 11.5# main springs in my SP-01 Shadows. I actually prefer the standard-weight TRS from CZC as I feel the extra return power reduces short-stroking the trigger when hammering close-range targets.

I think a zillion times is an accurate guess as to how much easier the cgw pin makes changing trs springs. Definitely get it.

  8. I tried the Dawson ice but have struggled getting mags seated (using Dawson extended basepads). If it were a little shorter in length and allowed the mags to stick out a little further I think I'd be more confident in it. Apparently most people don't have this issue... But I can't seem to get past it.

Currently switching to a S&A one piece magwell / MSH to see how that goes.

  9. I can comfortably run 100 in 5 min. Could go quicker but my stamina drops off if I go faster.

I'd say 1000 an hour assuming you have primer tubes filled is a conservative figure.

With the bullet and case feeder being basically 100% reliable the limits become:

How fast and for how long you can handle pull.

How fast you can refil the primers

Both the casefeeder and bulletfeeder can support way over 1000 an hour.

I find around 800/hr is a really nice pace. I generally just do 300-500 round bursts but have done the odd thousand.

That all sounds totally accurate. Since this set up is still new to me I have not pushed extremes but I certainly am the limiting factor (rather than the machine) when it comes to hourly rates. This set up is great. I can't really walk by it in the garage without popping out a few rounds- haha! Love it.

  10. Check to see if the screw holding the trigger bar spring has come loose (big screw directly at the top of the front strap inside). Mine does that quite a bit. With the slide open or off, look at the two spring arms that sit below the trigger bars on each side... That's the spring that's coming loose or popping out from under the trigger bars.

I've tried lock titing that screw down but it still finds its way loose

  11. Trigger return spring. Get spares, and look at CGW trigger pin to make swapping them easier. I had one break during a practice session and the gun is useless till its replaced. At the time I had the stock pin in and it was a PIA to get out and back in after replacing the spring. I can't speak for longevity of the spring yet as the gun it fail in was new to me but used. My new accu has a few thousand rounds through it with no issues yet. But to be safe I already swapped out the stock pin for the cgw pin. I can't say enough about how much of a pain in the A it was to get the stock one out. I bent two punches before it came loose. Cgw pin just slides in and out.

  12. VZ diamondback grips, very aggressive, plus grip tape across the front strap (and maybe backstrap). That gives for a solid purchase on the gun... For me anyway.

  13. It's been a while... I was hoping to buy a CZ at the end of the year, but on the first stage of the Monster Match at Universal I lost the front site on my XDM. Maybe I knocked it off on a window. I thought I was going home, but a really nice guy loaned me an XD and 8 mags. The cool thing was that the gun felt great in my hands, and the trigger was unbelievable. On stage two, having never fired the gun before I drew on a close target and, having trained myself to take the slack out of the trigger on my XDM, the gun started going off almost like a machine gun while I was still pushing out. Fortunately I hit all my targets. In fact, I went on to shoot the best match I've ever shot.

What I learned is that all the BS I've been going through to try to figure out how to take up the slack, pull back on my strong hand wrist, and all the other little tricks was a great learning experience, but now it's time to move on. I want a gun where I pull the trigger and it goes BANG!

Near the end of the match I was talking to a CZ shooter and explained that I was interested in one, and he asked which one? I said I was done doing my own trigger jobs and was planning to get a Shadow Target that was ready to go out of the box. He cringed a little and said I should consider an Accu Shadow. He said he recently bought one and the accuracy was unbelievable. I know I probably don't really need unbelievable accuracy, but what the heck, I bought one. They had it in stock and I'll get it Thursday.

I'll fix up,the old XDM, but after more than 70,000 rounds it's time to give it a rest.

I recently made the switch from M&P to CZ. VERY HAPPY. The guns are great- GREAT. I got my hands on one at production nationals this year and knew I was immediately doomed. I picked up a used shadow from the classifieds here and a new Accu from CZC. I went with the accu because I was already spending a ton on it, and did not want to get it and then regret not getting the upgrade. Now that I've had a couple months with the new guns I am very happy I made the switch. I'm not totally sure the accu shadow is worth the extra coin when it comes down to shots on paper in a USPSA match, but who cares I've got it now and its not going anywhere. I know for sure that any issues with accuracy can NOT be blamed on the gun anymore, haha. The triggers on both guns are spectacular. The accu has a trigger job from CZC and the shadow from Akai. I'm not sure which is better but either way I'm happy- a big reason for me going straight to CZ and not even considering Tanfo is that I am not confident I could do the work myself and get as great of a result- and my primary reason for getting these guns is the trigger. One thing I definitely notice is with such a light crisp trigger I am able to be more accurate much faster. I had a an apex sear in the MP but other wise stock springs. The difference between the 5lbs trigger in that gun and the 1.5 - 2lbs SA trigger is significant enough to have a definite improvement on tight shots at distance. It is just plain easier to break a shot without disturbing the sights with this set up.

Good luck with your new gun, you will definitely love it!

  14. I have been seriously pondering getting one on my 650. I reload 9mm almost all the time. Does it include everything needed with the package?

Yep I only ordered the mbf from shooters connection. When it showed up I unboxed it and set it up while watching the DAA videos on YouTube. Only issues I had were getting it mounted to my case feeder bowl. But that was just cause it's awkward. Wld have been helpful to have a 2nd pair of hands to hold things steady while I got that squared away. After that it was super easy.

  15. MBF shipped immediately and arrived today! Excellent service from shooters connection. Surprisingly I was able to get this thing set up super quick. In about a half hour I had it running like a top and popping out ammo. VERY pumped up about this and looking forward to cranking out some ammo!

I only said it was surprising to set up because generally I'm not worth a damn setting this stuff up myself! I'm guessing most people would have an even easier time than I did!
