[STI 9mm Trojan feeding problem]

 Local builder told me to load to 1.175 for STI and they worked great. Try a few dumbie rounds and hand cycle.

I wear a shirt with our club logo on it and a pair of jeans.

 Shooting glasses that have my prescription and a ball cap.

 Since my wife shoots, a wagon comes in  handy for 2 bags and 2 water bottles.

 I think over the years we settle on what is comfortable what works.

[Kimber Target 2 and Mags]

I have a target 2 in 9mm and tripp mags worked the best for me. Wilson wouldn't feed the first round and jammed the gun, the tripp worked fine. Every gun is a little different so I would see if anyone where you shoot will let you try one of their mags and check how they feed.

You may not lose a criminal case from altering a gun but today people take you to civil court if they lose the criminal case and want to take everything you have worked for all of your life.

It is much easier to win a civil case and you're gambling life savings on the outcome. I carry a stock firearm with factory ammo and eliminate some of the headaches if a problem arises.

 If you ever intend to carry the gun or use it for self defense I wouldn't disable the safety or modify it in any way. Lawyers would have a field day with why you changed the gun.

[40sw 1911 single stack magazine recommendation]

I use Wilson for 45 acp  but have found tripp mags to work better in 9mm and 40s&w. in my pistols.

I have STI and Kimber pistols, Wilson wouldn't feed in my Kimber 9mm or sti 9mms .and In my 40 sti the Wilson mags kept nose diving and not feeding.

 I went with tripp hybrid 10mm mags, 9 round capacity and they work flawlessly. I didn't get the 10 round mags because I can use my 9mm to shoot minor.

gun broker has a sti uspsa single stack in 40 for a little over 1600.00

 I have one and it has served me very well, you can shoot major or minor with the same gun.

 I haven't had any trouble with with either of my pistols, I haven't noticed it happening with any of the other shooters using tripp at our club.

I have a Kimber and an sti 9mm and found tripp to work best in both pistols.

The Wilson nose dived the first round and I couldn't load to 10 rounds, the tripp work fine in both guns and can be loaded with a closed chamber.

 I just want to load some stuff for plinking and can be used in all the guns. For my competition guns I load long and it won't work in some of the pistols.

When the kids want to shoot, they want to try all the guns and it gets to be a pain figuring out which ammo fits what gun and I'm hoping to find a length that will work in them all and it will simplify things.

I have loaded some 124 bayou out to 1.175 and they function in my Edge.

I think most sti pistols are long throated and will handle pretty long oal ammo.

 I went with a jp and am very happy with it. I am not a master shooter and probably never will be so you need to weigh that in my choice.

 A friend has the mpx and it is a nice gun, He is a better shooter than me but I beat him about half the time because he has ammo problems.

 Last week he had two malfunctions on one stage and had to take a 25 second score which let me beat him in the overall.

 The jp will run my uspsa ammo loaded long or factory 115 grain.

 I like the reliability of the jp and for my skill level I can't see an advantage to the mpx and the initial cost for the mpx and gear is greater.

I like the safariland els belts, they lock over two pins and have a double belt system. They are secure and stay where you adjust them

 Thinking of getting into steel challenge shooting and would like info on the tacsol vantage rifle. I can get a new one for around $800.00 and wanted opinions on if I should get a cheap 10-22 and build or is the vantage worth the money considering I will get all the goodies and their action.

Hello,

 I asked the rep at grams about using their springs and followers in mbx magazines and he said he would not recommend it. There kits are listed for many brands but not mbx.

 He said the design of the mbx mag is not good with their mag kits. He said a lot of people use them but he would not recommend it.

I have been shooting 1911 for years and was wondering which carry optic gun feels most like a 1911 in the hand. I tried a sig and seemed to have to bend my wrist down to see the optic. I tried a m&p and it felt the same.

 Is there a co gun that feels like a 1911?

 Any input is appreciated.

Guess I should have elaborated a little on what I will be shooting.

 I will shoot uspsa matches and won't be shooting over 50 yards.

 I have a jp13 with a long throat that I have been shooting 124 grain bayou at 1.170, the same load as my limited pistol.

 I was thinking that jacketed might be a little cleaner in the barrel and comp.

 I see a lot of shooters using 147 gr. and was considering hollow points for the accuracy.

 I hear precision delta are good as well as Montana gold, any thoughts.

 Do most recommend hollow points or fmj.

 Focus camera has a memorial day sale going on and I got a aluminum 6moa with click switch for $261.80. I figured that I couldn't go wrong at that price and I like the added strength of the aluminum housing as I will be using the gun for things other than uspsa.. I'm not going to be scaring any of the top shooters with my blazing speed so a little extra weight won't be a problem. I think I will enjoy the pcc division. Most of the pcc shooters in our club shoot their pistols and then run the course a second time with their pcc. I was surprised that in some stages they are fasters with the handgun. Last week, we had handgun targets at 45 yards and the pcc guys were cleaning up on the pistol shooters. It will be fun to play around and see which gun I can run faster.

Hello,

 I bought a jp-gmr 13 9mm and want to get a c-more railway sight. I have decided on a 6 moa dot but want some advise on a couple things.

 Do I need the tactical or standard railway to get the right height? Which switch is better, the click or standard, and is the polymer or aluminum body a better choice?

 Any advise would be appreciated.
