Agreed on both fronts.  I was initially surprised that they included LO again, but then thought about it, and it isn't that surprising. They simply don't believe they can sell out the match without LO.

Believe it or not, They dont need to have a 3 day nationals. Have 2 full days - or 1.5 days. If Nationals is only 300 shooters instead of 4, then ok. why does that hurt anything.

There are ways around loosing so much money....But hey they wanna do dumb s#!t, they clearly arent gonna listen to some random dude on the internet.

It might be close on weight.  I shot an iron sighted Artemis last year at a major and I was like .1 ounces from being overweight.

Hmmm, not sure thats a gun I want to start dremeling out of the box to make weight

Their website says 39oz for the gun. Would appear thats without Magwell and Mag. Plus Optic. Not alot of play room

Just remember that YML is the runoff election for the president, dry-humping and all. What does that say about the members being serious about cleaning up the house and holding the management in check?

Counter Point to that, Based on another point a few pages back.

How many people actually know what happened. Yea the guys that care (us on here) know, or at least googled around enough to find out the general idea of what happened.

But how many of the members, let alone those that voted, know what he did to get the boot, and then how it happened....

like us politics, you have a pretty good shot at winning just because your name comes up the most in conversation.

However, I think they do have to address the issue of corporate status and explain how that situation occurred, and what steps they are taking to prevent a re-occurrence.

The smart move would be to address it head on.

What really will happen is they'll say nothing and I would guess if asked in person or a direct email you'll get a response that says "Its being fixed"

The only thing I'm sure about is that it's not a good idea to have this thread on the shooting forum. We should stick to shooting.

Disagree, It absolutely needs to be known and parroted to all the members. The people that have turned a blind eye to the mismanagement and said "oh it doesn't affect me because...." are the reason it got to this boiling point.

I believe if we were all more involved and the BoD didn't run a behind closed door operation (which we allow by who we vote in) then it wouldn't have gotten here and issues could have been addressed as they came up and where still small.....as opposed to people suing the org.

Edited thought: I spend many thousands of dollars a year to shoot as I'm sure many people on here do.....it is extremely relevant to the forum. If it all goes away then there will be no point to have the forum at all.

What happens when nobody joins the new organization and local marches just keep operating under the current USPSA rules?

The props, bays, targets, setup knowledge, stage design, organization, running of the matches, etc. are all part of the local clubs. USPSA is not some pariah organization holding an iron fist over shooting sports. It's an organization that provides consistent rules and gets nominal amount for each classifier. If someone takes over, the local clubs can continue operating without as much as a blink or a hiccup by ignoring it completely. Especially if the name "USPSA" can now be used freely because the organization no longer exists.

Can confirm that the majority of the weekend hobby people that shoot only our local match and nothing else, not only dont vote in the elections, they also dont care what the sport is called. They'll just keep showing up and blindly supporting the match, the local club and the BoD without any care in the world. -So really it could all go away tomorrow and I would say the majority of the people wont be affected at all.

They are a DE corporation, so they have to comply with DE law in terms of filing requirements, etc.  Failure to comply with those requirements typically impacts the legal status of the corporation, which is what's being alleged here.

But the DE Corp filing is void in 2018 it says. See attached

We might get a dozen tac-tards nationwide to try it, half of which won't come back because they got smoked.

My sentiment exactly. They are doing it for a money grab to try and get new memberships from the Tactical crowd. But those people will never shoot a major  -let alone a second or third local. And on top of that most clubs dont even require a USPSA membership to shoot, so really what is the point? a special division for them to feel special, take a screenshot of them being closer to first place and post it on their InstaGram?

They have a division for Limited Optics.....Its called open.

  9. I used to be on the Dawn and lemishine train. Recently purchased a package of the FA looking little 'tide pod' things and I will have to recommend those. Way easier than just randomly mixing the dawn and lemi shine. I feel they are slightly more shiny when they come out after using the FA pod.

Fill it up and toss a pod in and let it go for 45 min. rinse and repeat.

I am aware they are more expensive. Specifically comes out to 1.25 per pod, but thats nothing really in the big scheme of things of this game.

    EDIT:

They are called: Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series InstaClean Brass Cleaning Packs

If you reload to "save money," well frankly you have the wrong motivation and will quickly tire of the whole process.

I'll give a few reasons and maybe others can add more.

    1. You want the perfect combo of ammo and gun.
    2. It's hobby in itself.
    3. The equipment is just cool.
    4. There are bragging rights.
    5. It's cheaper than professional therapy.
    6. It fills that obsessive nature.
    7. Red neck rocket science.

Yea literally none of those reasons matter. Its purely cost savings. Even if I paid myself for my time at what I make during the day job I'd still be ahead by a large margin.

I have no issue with shooting SS major. There are some matches, however, where having 10rds is beneficial. So I just wanted to have an opinion. No big deal if I don’t.

My understanding of this plan is always loading major, but when it calls for it just declare minor. Even if I decide to shoot minor after walking stages, there is no way i'm traveling/flying with 2 different sets of ammo for the same gun.

  12. If Its a multi day match I'll check at the end of the day. But between stages - No. Nothing I'm going to get out of that besides getting sucked into my phone (assuming I even have service) and end up not focusing on stage planning, or resetting or pasting or whatever else I should be doing.

Kind of like Trap/Skeet. If your on your way to a perfect round and are counting in your head going "Sweet I'm at 21 birds straight just 4 more" gonna miss one of those next 4 for over thinking. Might as well not even give my brain the opportunity to have those thoughts by looking at the scores. And finally, if I'm comparing myself to...Ben or JJ or Nils, they might not even be shooting the same stages I am that day, so dont really see the need.

  13. AMG labs hands down.

They just need to produce more timers. Inexplainable how they have the best product but cant make timers.
Also belt clip. Bought one cheesy molded kydex thing off a guy online (florida I think) for 25 bucks and its done alright

Given my experience with the pocket pro, the ced 7k and the pact timer. I'd buy the AMG again anyday of the week. And that includes waiting for it to show up

I was considering going to this but I’m unsure of the commitment since I’m 3 hours away and it’s only 8 stages.
Does anyone have feedback from prior years?

its 4 for me and I'm going. They put on a pretty good match. The range and town are nice. They hosted A2 and NAZC last year, and NAZC every other year since i started shooting in 14. Would recommend you try it at least once.

Drive in the night before and go out on the town to check out the breweries and what not then, wake up, shoot and drive home.
