  1. Yep, I want to start loading 40 cal and I want to use Red Dot. I have xtreme plated 180 gr RNFP bullets and CCI SPP. Looking for load data. Will be shooting a S&W M&P 40. So any help you can give will be appreciated....Cmax
  2. RCBS said no......I was hoping a while back.....Clarify...Bullets-yes, dies -no......but I don't load over 100 grain bullets in 380 auto....
  3. I started with some Berrys for my very 1st reloads, seemed to do fine. I have been using Xtreme since then. I am very happy with them, I have purchased about 6000 bullets of different calibers.. I am just starting on 40 cal though, Cmax
  4. I saw Jerry's video as well, So I tried it. I like it. It feels natural for me and have found when changing to my left hand (weaker) to shoot around left side of barrel, I shoot better left handed????
  5. OK, I want to get some holsters, Wow, the selection is overwhelming. I am confused and don't know what to get....I need education on different types, styles, brands, etc.....can you direct me to a good source to get me up to speed? Thanks Cmax
  6. Our gun club has the 400 yard, so distance is not what we are after, move and shoot, different type of targets, etc...nothing too elaborate.

    P226

Does anyone know if a Sig P226 enhanced elite dark is legal for IDPA basic class?
  9. That sounds good, I was just given some CCI SPP that are in a white box. Don't know how old they are but could be around 40 years old......Is there any way to get a date of manufacture?
  10. These are copies of a email sent to and from RCBS. (they are self explanatory). So the next time you think " I'll save $10 bucks on those dies" (with only a 2 year warranty) maybe you should reconsider and buy RCBS! (with a Lifetime warranty) Message I sent yesterday; I just received a set of carbide 45 auto reloading dies in the gray box. If you need any number off of the box, I can get them when I get home tonight. I always take the dies apart and clean and lube the dies. Well my daughter took the locking rings to play with I guess and now they are gone. I need to buy 3 locking rings. They are black with set screw 90 degrees onto the thread. How much do they cost? thanks Chris Then later yesterday the response; Chris, I'm sending you the lock rings no charge. Have a great week. 12. Thanks, just about perfect, just what i was looking for.....
  13. Ok, loading supplies are coming back. I am a noob and what to know what are considered good pricing. Not mail order(don't want to deal with Hazmat), but at a local supplier. Try for out the door pricing (cost + tax). I will start.... 1lb Reloader 22 for $22.00 otd 8lb Red Dot for $112.50 otd CCI 500 (SPP) primers $35.95/1000 otd Thanks Cmax
  14. Well, I just got my Digital Pro Chrono. I am looking for a free printable record log form, I can take to the range with me to record my info. I seached with no luck. any help would be appreciated. Cmax
  15. I want to load 100 grain Xtreme plated bullets with Red Dot . Finding data is tough. Anyone have any experience with this combination. I would like to load some test loads. 10 rounds each powder weight in .2 grain increments. What ya'll think? Thanks Cmax
  16. Yeah, That's what I have been thinking.....
  17. What diameter is the rod on your hook/stand? What size and shape target are you using? Is it 3/8 AR500 steel? Would you say more or less movement than hanging them by chain from a saw horse type stand?
  18. I will report on the good and bad of this setup. It will be after the 4th of July before I will be able to check them out.... What I hope is swinging will not be much of a problem as I plan to put the target plate right on the hook without any chain( like the picture of the target). The down side will be the shaft will be centered with the target. Then later I might try a chain (so I can get some more angle to deflect bullets downward and get shaft off to one side). We will see. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them...Lets all start shooting steel ...cheap and easy!!! Cmax
  19. Yeah, that's me...nice & cheap....only way I can afford my addiction...lol.....I'll keep you updated.............Cmax
  20. Thanks to all, ya'll helped me big time....what I ended up doing; ordered 6 metal plant stands, you can find here; http://www.midlandhardware.com/105963.html#.U6rf3pRdWSo and ordered 3- 8" ar500 round plates, you can find here; http://www.magnumtarget.com/targets/#!/~/product/category=3557093&id=22654150 I will be able to set them up at different spots and change them around, I will have 3 extra stands (as they are cheap) in case I break one or see that I want a different size/shape target....They should be quick and easy to transport and set up/take down.. thanks again to all who responded......Cmax
  21. I need advice and opinions on making an AR500 steel target set up. I want ; At least 3 targets Pistol and rifle (up to 7mm Rem Mag) What sizes and shapes (square or round, with or without ears) are good for what range? (up to 200 yards) What thickness and weight for different sizes/shapes. What type of stand for weight capacity and quickness of set up and take down as well as transport. Any advice on how to attach to any stand.. Good price suppliers. Thanks for your response. Cmax
