Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I find the wood, no matter how aggressive they are stippled, or checkered, just get slippery with sweat after a while. I shot a match last weekend, used something like 260 rounds, with no problems with the grips. Wish I could say the same for some of my reloads.
  2. VZ's, the G10 laminates? How are they on the hand compared to Wood and Rubber Hogues? I've felt some from Hogue at the Nationals and they feel like they would give a great grip, but worried they would beat my thumb like wood. Pix as promised:
  3. pskys2, this would be the exact set. They are quite aggressive, which makes them perfect for USPSA. No problem shooting them all day without issue. I'll try and get a pic up of my 625, but you get the idea. https://vzgrips.com/gun-grips/smith-wesson/n-frame/round-bottoms/tactical-diamonds/n-frame-tactical-diamond-predator-green-g10
  4. I guess the best thing for me to do is sort my brass, get try a few different ones for myself. Make a determination which is best, and save the rest for practice range. Thanks to all.
  5. IM sent buckaroo. Thanks. Looks like I'm going to need the 2 different kinds of moon clips alecmc, as I have enough of Federal, Win, etc. No Starline though. Thanks guys.
  6. I was actually thinking of polishing the one on my 625 as I like the feel of it on my new 627. I'll do it at the end of the season when I take the gun down for a complete detail.
  7. As I understand it, these are the way to go for my 8 shot 627PC. However, on the TK Custom website they say they are NG for Winchester brass . Since I reaload several typs of brass, including W, am I going to have to eliminate the Winchester, or can they be finessed into the HeathCo. clips? Also, do I want the .020, or .025. thickness? Thanks from newbie.
  8. You ain't 'lying. That photo made my decision easy!
  9. I would imagine you're already made up your mind, but give the VZ's a look. I've got a set on my 625 and they are great. Very agressive, and fit quite well. Good luck.
  10. I think Harris represents a good value in bipods, but Atlas gets lots of raves. Much sturdier, but much more costly as well.
