I've loaded quite a few 380's in my 650 while loading 9mm as well. Thankfully, I case gauge check every single round I make. The 380's fall inside a Dillon case gauge. That's when I find em and disassemble them.

Make sure the yellow tip is pushed all the way on the tube. If there is a gap at all primers will flip
This...^.... i've actually done this. If that yellow or green tip isn't all the way seated, you will have problems.

Competition electronics will rebuild or replace at 1/2 retail price at most. Got mine back a month or so ago. Cost me $52.00, that included shipping to them, repair and return shipping.
Mine was in worse shape than yours.

I've heard several people's woes of shooting their crony's and I'd just smile, secretly proud that I've had mine for two years and never come close to making such a bonehead move....... Until last weekend.
Yup, that's a 45 ACP hole that went straight through it and yup, that's a hundred dollar bill down the tubes. LOL
Now I'm the bonehead.

mine is not nearly as impressive as GAhunter's! wow! but mine is inside the house, it is air conditioned.
it's in my office/study room up stairs. I have a nice big office desk in there with PC etc, some cabinets for storage and then the bench.
Bench has a nice thick solid top. it's bolted to the wall and leveled off with adjustable feet. the cabinet underneath holds powder and primers and is locked. it's nicely vented on both sides so no chance of it becoming an explosion hazzard. it has tools hanging off both sides on various attachments. On the door (steel) is a magnetic caddy holding a can of compressed air, one shot case lube, some press oil etc.
Press is mounted on a nice thick piece of sleeper then clamped to the bench for flexibility in moving stuff around. I run 3 presses at the moment, lee classic turret, lee loadmaster and dillon XL650. The 650 is the main press these days. It has a few of the blingy upgrades, inline fab light kit, inline fab primer tube rack (mounted to the side of the sleeper), bin dam, billet tool head, primer chute to bottle, shell plate bearing kit, shell plate low mass detent ball. Running lee dies. '
The second sleeper has a swivel vice mounted on it which is very handy.
It's not the garage-mahal by any means, but I like being inside! And it gets the job done.

I have to agree with the original poster about re-sizing 9mm on a Dillon 650. I load 9mm, 40 and 45 ACP and 9mm is by far much harder to resize than the other calibers. I might have to try some One Shot myself.

I havent tried W 231 but I've loaded thousands of the Blue Bullets 230gr RN with either IMR PB or IMR SR 4756. Excellent combination with both powders. But If I heard correctly, both of these powders are discontinued by Hodgdon.... figures.

I do not have load info for 200 gr but generally, it takes more of a powder charge to punch FMJ's down a barrel than plated bullets (ie:Raniers) so that load would probably be too hot. If you can't find any better load data, I'd start with a lesser charge, possibly .5 gr less than the FMJ data. Be careful though.

Same here I used to reload a lot of plated bullets until I found Bayou Bullets and I haven't looked back.
There is no lead fouling and they are clean. Also a green bullet looks really cool.
I have to agree. Save your money and by coated, BBI, Blue Bullets, Bayou, Falcon, etc.. They shoot just as accurate as copper plated for less $$$. At least for me anyway.

Excellent write up guys. I have struggled with this on my Dillon 650 as well. Finding that sweet spot where the bullet sits correctly in the flared shell and not flaring it too much where you get brass shavings as you seat the bullet has been challenging, especially with Dillon dies. I was able to lessen the problem by using Lee dies but it such a pain in the ass to set them up being that Lee dies are shorter than Dillon dies and that you have to place the lock nut on the bottom of the die plate (locking it from the bottom in stead of the top - like normal.)
I will definitely try the DAA powder funnel and go back to using my Dillon dies.

I tried to like them but man, they smell like cancer after you shoot them.
This made me laugh as I too had a problem with the smell of BBI bullets. I switched to Blue Bullets, they load and shoot the same as BBI and that funky smell is no more. Pricing is close to the same as well.

A loose shell plate can cause this. Needs to be loose enough to rotate but not much up or down movement. Might check yours.
I had this issue with my 650. I thought it was because I was using Winchester brand primers while loading 45 ACP but I was wrong, the shell plate was too loose. I snugged it up a little, a little more than finger tight and boom, solved the problem.

Me too, I'm a huge fan of Dillon products but when it comes to dies, Lee is superior (at least in my experience). Its a shame cuz Dillon dies are $25.00 more than Lee. Go figure.

I have used Blue Bullets for almost a year now. 180gr FP in .40 cal and 147gr in 9mm (RN and FP). I'm very happy with them. My latest shipment, the coating was much glossier, less chalky than normal. I hope they keep this going.

I haven't really noticed this problem metering WST, but it is a "sticky" powder in that it seems to be far more susceptible to static cling than any of the other pistol powders I use. Have you tried rubbing the outside of the powder hopper with a fabric softener sheet?
I have the exact same issue with Ramshot Competition. It seems very statically sticky (if that's a term) in my Dillon powder measure. I gonna try your fabric softener sheet idea tonight.

I use the 1 quart containers i get from the local Chinese restaurant (that containers the Wan Tans come in). They hold exactly 300 9mm or exactly 250 .40 S&W.

I prefer Lee dies - They'll do everything you need. Although, the dillon dies are much easier to clean.

Yes i have and they are great. I have been shooting them exclusively in .40 and love them.
Thanks. When you started using them, were you able to keep the same load of powder? I am using 4.9 grains of CFE and like that load. It makes major easily with the Black Bullets.
Bowenbuilt, just curious- I just purchased 8 pounds of CFE. Have you used CFE with 180gr Blue or Black bullets? Major or Minor?

I can vouch for Blue Bullets as well. I've loaded and shot close to 10,000 rounds in the past year, all in 147gr 9mm, 180gr 40, and 230gr 45ACP with no complaints. There is no funky odor like some of those polymer coated but techj is correct, your fingers will turn blue. It washes off though, don't worry
