  2. For those with access to a laser cutter, here are some templates for cutting numbered labels from skateboard grip tape to go on your CZ magazine baseplates (at least for the TS / Czechmate and the P09).

The design files are from SolidWorks, but the cutter should take the dxf file format. The "assembly" files containing a full set of numbered magazine base plates

  3. In case somebody wants some design files for a simple USPSA mini-popper....

The base is made from mild steel (a piece of laser-cut plate, some 3" equal angle, some 1" equal angle and some 2" flat bar). The popper plate itself is laser-cut from something hard enough for the job (VRN500, Hardox 500, or available equivalent).

The 3" angle protects the adjustment arrangement from being shot, but covers some of the popper plate. The size of the plate is thus designed so that the visible section (above the 3" angle when assembled) conforms to the USPSA rulebook size for a mini popper.

The files with extensions starting with "sld" are from SolidWorks - a free eDrawings viewer is available online.

  4. Sounds like I need to wear body armor to your next match, Josh

I guess the only complaint might be if it ends up being a test of physical capability, rather than of shooting skill. That will depend on how you set it up (do you need to be young and agile to do it)

  5. I'm also waiting to chrono some HS6 loads for 115 grain bullets in my new czechmate, but the southern Idaho weather isn't helping either and the range is all deep mud.

Strangely, I managed to load to 1.16" without modifying the chamber at all.

Can't wait to test it out....

  6. Just something to consider. ...

If your crimp die is slightly too tight, the case wall grabs the bullet firmly before it has completely seated. As the case continues to rise in the die, the bullet can't move further into the case, so the case walls buckle under the strain. You end up with a ridge (or two) partway down the case.

Simply backing out the crimp die a fraction of a turn will fix the problem

  7. I have now trained myself to grip the gun really hard in dry fire. But I just can't seem to transfer that to my live fire. No matter how much I tell myself to grip it like it owes me money, when the buzzer goes it all goes out the window.
It's a problem that's been dogging me for months now and I wish I could sort it out

  8. Oh and the range is about 15-20 min from twin falls

    Hi Chips0410,

I'm a resident of Twin Falls now, and a member of MVPSA (although I don't even own a gun yet).

I now need advice on where to buy reloading supplies (powder, bullets, cases). Where do you usually do your shopping for that sort of thing?

    Thanks
    Steve

  9. I found MyLoc nuts in my local hardware store.  I don't recall the size.  They hold on the screws but do not fit in the recess of the pouch.

I emailed CR Speed 2 times asking size and never heard back from them.  To me that is poor customer service.

Try Taz himself and maybe you'll have some luck. I'm surprised you didn't get any help from them
