  1. I put it in and I think it was worth the upgrade. When I've used lighter hammer springs sometimes my hammer won't end up flush on the back plate after firing. It's like the FP pushes it back out. I don't wanna cut off too many coils off FP spring either. Put the Gen4 in and the hammer ends up flush. I think being lighter and the little extra length will be good, no light strikes since using it but didn't have any with my gen3 Henning pin either

    How long is you FPS?

  2. Has anyone had a fail to extract issue. I fired 100 rounds without a problem. Cleaned the gun and on a second occasion fired another 100 rounds, no problems. I then did the a fore mentioned polishing job, replaced the plunger spring with Hennings #18 and replaced the recoil spring to 8lb with the accompanying firing pin spring. I then brought it to the range and had two fail to extract malfunctions during the next 50 rounds. Any advice?

    10lb recoil spring

  3. I was wondering when any of y'all are running a coil clipped hammer spring or firing pin spring, which end do you put the clipped section? Such as with a hammer spring, do you put the clipped end down into the channel or have it on the opposite end over the strut? Or with the FP spring, do you have the clipped end facing forward or backwards on the firing pin? Hope I am making sense.

Or does it matter? Has anyone noticed any https://www.cho.org/gw/webacc?User.context=7dc38ac75704ded4c2cc1a4762c758f28cd9da&merge=main&refresh=1429720039195effects one way or another doing this?

On hammer spring clip is down flatten smooth with dremel.

Firing pin spring clip is backward meaning attached in the hub, also smooth to flat so no dragging.

    Hope it helps

  4. "The new pin started shipping on Thursday night/Friday morning. It's s standing offer to swap anytime :-). The new pin is badass ! This offer goes for anyone sharp enough to read this thread. I'll swap any of my older firing pins for the Gen4. Just send in your old and I'll send you the new. I want you to experience the fastest possible lock time and reliable ignition !"

You can sen your used pin for a swap?

  5. 7.5lb DA and 2.5lb SA on a cheap wheeler scale. Once she's broken on Ill get some measurements on a Lyman Digital. Remember though smoothness of a trigger pull is just as important as weight if not more.

You can have a 3.5lb smooth pull feel better than a 2lb.

Have you by any chance tested the Gen 4 FP? Any comparison with pencil test?

  6. As far as accurate bullets go, everything I have made in the 130 to 135 pf area has been more than accurate enough for me. When I consider a new load, I look for stuff that is consistent, has the recoil impulse i am looking for, is realtively easy to get, will chamber consistently, and most importantly, cheap. I have tried all sorts of different bullet weights and profiles and I find the Bear Creek 147g truncated cones with the newer and slightly thinner profile meets my needs. It is only $65 per thousand and I don't buy in bulk or pay tax. :)

Is this with out the lube grove?

  7. Received my T3 disco in todays mail. Took about an hour to fit. I realized if you use a one piece sear, you dont need to remove any material from the top of the wing.

Here's my youtube video of before and after.

What did you do to enlarge the hole? Is that all it take? Is there any drag from the disconnector to the gun
  8. Well I took my new Stock III out today after some Easter festivities to sight it in and was a little surprised at what happened. I am using the same setup as in both my Stock II's and the same minor load which never gave me this issue. As pics below this was what happened the first 6-7 magazines I put thru it. This happened about 80% of the shots. I could almost every time bump the back of the slide and it'd go into battery..

This was what some of the following rounds looked like when I had to just rack the round out. I mean the next round in magazine after racking slide.

I put what I think was a heavier recoil spring in (not sure the weight as just what had on me) and I put another 5-6 mags thru the gun slow and fast and the all fed fine.

Do you think maybe the gun just needed a little breaking in and a heavier recoil spring than my Stock II's? I figured the same setup would work in both pistols. Thoughts appreciated

Hey Gump,is that a 147gr BBI? did it feed reliably on your S2?

147 Bayous. They fed in both my Stock II's 100%, I wondered if maybe if I need to load a tad shorter with this Stock III?

I guess not all gun are the same, they all behave differently.
