Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hi guys I am new here so redirect me to the right place here in the forum. I just bought a Dillon 550b press. Now I need to choose my supplies. I am going to start loading 45acp. Where is good place to get everything at once to save on shipping. Bullets Brass Primers Powder I want to get started with paper target loads. any advice on how many rounds I should start with? I would like to know how you guys orginize your supplies for each caliber and different types of loads. Do you use color codes or lable? any advice would be helpful...I don't want to waste time reinventing the wheel. Thanks in advance. Is there a spell check button on this forum?
  2. All I can say is WOW! I ordered a 550B two days ago and I am jazzed about that. But your setup is soooo Amsome! Congradulations and good work
  3. Thank you Guys Your advice is well taken. I am going to start with the 45 and branch out after I have the press up and running and I have a good supply. I am ordering the Layman book tomorrow. I will update my profile btw I am in Colorado front range suburb of Denver Go Broncos
  4. Hi HPJack Right now I am going thru aprx 2,000 rd of 223 yr 9mm aprox 1,000 rd. I just bought the 45 I am at aprx. 200 month. so maybe 2,000 yr. As far as the time I would like to stock 2k of each. How long will it take to load 1k of say 223 I figure that will take longer. I know I can do 4hr a week and at first much more. I am on vac now until I get my left shoulder fixed in early Dec. Then I will be off work for a long time. I would love to get this set up so when I am able I can reload during my rehab, I am right handed. any suggestions on books and Manuals to help with my education to get started and after surgery. I have never reloaded and don't know anyone who does. Maybe I should slow down there is so much stuff to get, and supplies seem hard to get. not mention I dont know what I am ordering. I will keep working it out. I have a supporting wife ...what more could I ask for *S
  5. Hello I am new to reloading. I haven't bought anything yet so my options are open. I want to reload in three cabilers 9mm, 45 acp, and 223/ 5.56 Rem. I want to reload to be able to shoot more, right now just range targets. I would like move to new range ideas. I love to burn thru ammo with the 223, and I am dreaming of building a AR-15 built around Slidefire stock.. I am looking to learn what I need to buy for my new reload bench. I have wood bench from Harbor Fright. This bench is the type with holes drilled in it. The reason I mention this it might help with mounting ideas. I am not sure how to use the holes...I am sure they are there for a reason. I degress. I need help with my buy list on Brian Enos's site. I am looking at building around a 550B press with as it should be options. I dont understand the quick change kit @ $103.95, How does this item work? Do I need one of these for each caliber? Is it worth it? How much effort is saved? How many primer pickup tubes do I need? any photos or youtube would be of great help. Thanks
