Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Outside in my back yard under a bunch of trees into a big pile of dirt with a cement backside and .5 miles outside city limits :-)
  2. I made some lights for mine last week. I used some aluminum flashing to make the tight fitting boxes and put 4 strips of led lights inside each one which gave me 36 led's per box. I powered it with a small 12V gel cell battery. By using the box to hold the lights up off of the plastic the light is totally diffused and even. I purchased a 5M roll of white led lights on ebay for $10 and I had everything else. It worked 100% on 50 9mm shots outside under heavy tree cover and even worked inside under twin bulb 8' daylight fluorescent lights running lengthwise with my airsoft but it missed 2 out of 26. If you look closely you can see the little switch I made to step through the readings on the chrono. That cost me $8 but I got enough parts to make 2 switches and half of 2 more. I didn't see any sense in having wire to make it remote.
  3. I've worked up a load to use in my Keltec P11 which requires a short oal. Could I get some of you experienced 9mm re-loaders to check over the file I've attached with my load and chrono results to make sure things look ok. I plan on loading from group 5 in the chart. To do group 5 I went through my brass to find ones from the same mfg that were the exact same length, weighed out each charge & then picked 5 rounds that had the exact same oal. I wanted to see how close I could keep the chronograph readings. When I shot group 5 I loaded up 5 warm up rounds ahead of my good rounds to warm up the barrel. My bullet length is .568 Thanks Chronograph Data.pdf
