Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I would guess the price difference is related to the quad pouch being injection molded as opposed to hand formed (although BT does make an injection molded double pouch that's quite inexpensive....) Never having held a BT injection molded product next to a hand-formed product (all that I own), I am curious as to noticable differences in thickness, fit, quality, etc.
  2. FWIW: 200gr. Berry's SWC (68 H&G profile) Titegroup 4.8-4.9 Federal 150 Large Pistol Primer Assorted once and twice fired brass 1.235” C.O.A.L. SW 945 w/5” bbl ...renders 160-165pf (approx. 25fps variance) 230gr Berry's RN Titegroup 4.5-4.6 Federal 150 Large Pistol Primer Assorted once and twice fired brass 1.260” C.O.A.L. SW 945 w/5” bbl ...renders 160-166pf (approx. 26fps variance) Interestingly enough, I tried “tipping the muzzle up” as per IDPA regs in order to test the claimed “position insensitivity” of Titegroup. I didn’t find any variance that I could attribute to the powder. My testing “partner in crime” came to the same conclusion but also found position-related variance with other powders (which shall remain nameless to protect the integrity of this thread). I’m working on bumping both of the above-listed loads a little bit more since I’m not comfortable being “right on the edge”. My wife is very sorry she bought me the chronograph. She never sees me anymore. YMMV and all that…..
  3. Just to be clear, according to Appendix One Section D.1(F) of the 2005 rulebook: "Magazine carrier must: F. Be worn in a belt location that will position the front edge of the carrier behind the centerline of the body." ** edited for punctuation **
  4. Berry's Mfg. 200gr plated SWC in .45 ACP are H&G 68 profile. I know their website doesn't tell you this, but I assure you it is the case. The printed literature does indicate "H&G cone nose style" profile. They feed and work GREAT in my 1911s....
