Sorry to hear about your Zev. Was interested in this gun way back but saw some problems with it, including it going full auto, IIRC. Cant really afford the gun anyway unless I bite the bullet really hard. Still hope Zev can make it right for you.

So I called Zev. They stated they know about thr problem of the slide stops breaking at about 4000 rounds. Are you kidding me. They are sending me a new slide stop but to be honest, a gun that expensive shouldn’t have a known problem of breaking at 4000. Better yet, it is the same slide stop, so it may break in another 4000 rounds.  They stated the vendor they have is the only one that will work. So I will get that, replace it, and sell it to someone that wants a range toy. Because I can’t trust it in competition.

  2. They can be swapped out but here is the thing. I have had the gun break two different things in a three week period. The extractor broke that cost me a 3 gun match. I had the slide stop break and totally seize the gun up that cost me another USPSA match. I have less than 4000 minor load rounds through the gun. I have no confidence at all. Also, when trying to get the slide off I had to use a hammer to hit the back, so there is something very wrong with this gun. I load the frame because of it being close to 1911 and I k own the CZ p10 are close too.

was also thinking about a p80 but again, what parts do they use in the slide. To shoot SSP I need a complete gun, can’t use a p80 frame with a Glock slide or else I would have done that already.

    The P10F is ergonomic.

However, If you like the 1911 grip angle, you might give a S&W M&P a test drive. It's 18 deg.

Sighting options are better with the CZ. Not really good options for rear adjustable with the MP.

  4. Have have shot Glocks most of my shooting career. As I get older i notice the grip being a little more of a problem. When I bring the gun up quickly i notice the front sight is a little higher then the rear sight. Well, I thought Zev was the answer. Bought an OZ9 elite, was winning matches with it, then in 3000 rounds the extractor broke at a three gun match and the slide stop broke this past weekend at a section match. So, Zev is not durable.

the 1911ish grip angle is doing better for me later in life. The question now is,, How is the P10F?

  5. I had a Langdon gun. I was not impressed at all with thr trigger. I have a Beretta Performance Defensive and those triggers feel better to me than the Langdon. I got rid of the Langdon. I am now getting an CZ shadow 2 with Cajun trigger job. Those are night and day better after trying my buddies.

  6. I am looking to get into the metal gun game. I have tried a regular CZ SP-01 with the safeties and it did not work out well because of the safeties. Due to shooting Glocks, I have a very high grip which was messing with the safety, hence the decocker model takes that out of the equation. So I guess my question is this, I have shot both guns and like them both, which trigger can be made the best, the CZ decocker with Cajun gun works or a Langdon Beretta? Thanks,

It has been a great choice for years.  I shot a very similar package from Matt Mink, until it got redone as a carry optics rig for my son to shoot.  My wife has the "target" model of linked gun.  It is very consistent and very ready to run package.  On the CZs that I have, the cajun triggers are a bit better than the CZ custom.  Also, the cz custom front site is a bit wide for my preference.

Is the accushadow worth the extra money?

Reading through the feature list it sounds like it is pretty well worked over.

I get it though, some of the CZ and CZC stuff can be confusing as hell.

I believe that the one you listed is the same one I have. It is a really nice gun.

Yes, it is very confusing. Lol. That is why I came for the wisdom from Enos.

I have the 14.5" Core and I really like the balance. It replaced a Faxon Gunner 14.5" that was lighter but I like the extra weight. Plus it's way more accurate than the Faxon. 13."7-13.9" really is a sweet spot for a do all rifle that can meet legal lengths. I'm putting together a 12.5" mid gas pistol right now though, so maybe that'll be my new favorite length soon. I have no doubt I'll like it better than my 10.5" already.

The only 10.5 I have is for work. Obviously if I have to take a shot, 99% chance it is inside 75 yards. Although I do have the 10.5 zeroed at 200 like all my rifles and it shoots 2.5" groups at 200 yards with our duty ammo.

But for the do it all rifle, SHTF rifle, etc, I want to be mobile but also be able to engage targets at 500 yards. So for me anything shorter than a 13.9 is out of the question.

But if a 18" CORE barrel balances as good as a 14.5 normal barrel then you also get the mobility and more velocity.
