I had issues with xtreme bullets in my gun as well. Coated work much better. Im using an infinity barrel.

there's a reason most custom builds come standard with an aftec.
-
i dont see why not.
-
I did sns coated 220 gr at 1.190 with 4.3 GR of VV340 and it was averaging 174PF.
-
Almost no felt recoil but super slow slide. I decided i prefer the snappy 180's

I use to use froglube but it would congeal during cold weather or after high round count matches. I now use Mobile 1 5w-30. It is the best product for a tight fitting 2011 and it's much cheaper than any lube on the market.

Look into ion bond there are more colors than black. I personally wouldn't cerakote an SVI. That would be like repainting your Ferrari with krylon.
-
As the title states, I am wanting to test out a major load in my 5.4 sight tracker. Has anyone tried this combo before?
-
Its the slide thats cut. I own two stroked Akai 40s (one is my wife's) and i let people shoot it all the time and they love it. It just shooters flatter and softer.
-
My wife and I both have 5.5 sight trackers and I personally like the feel and balance better than a 5 or 5.5 bull barrel. But it's only personal preference. I would recommend shooting a few different models, if you can, before you decide.

the plating is very think with the xtreme bullets.

I would get carbon steel and have it coated in hardchrome. Also, look into the ionbond. The grey looks like raw steel.

Those are my current go-to bullet. Very accurate with Vv340.

I have a good and highly accurate loade wity the 180 hp's. When i weighed them it was +/- .1 gr. very good quality

I would say one of the pvd (tin) finishes. It is one of the most durable finishes out there. Talk with some of the top pistol builders and you will see that they dont offer or recommend cerakote for competition pistols.
-
It would be interesting to see if the quality has changed.

Was that when paras were made in Canada or North Carolina?
-
I stumbled across Para Ordinances' 1911 light double action while reviewing new items from the latest NRA show and I see they are re-releasing and wanted to know if anyone held, fired, or owned one?

You can file/dremel the block where it grabs the trigger guard. There is a link on the daa website.

Frog lube and call it a day.
-
I use froglube. The gun feels amazing.

Talk to shay at akai he is familiar with both of those coatings. He sends his stuff off but he can point you in the right direction.
-
What's the difference between a Ferarri and a Camaro? Go a head and call Akai Customs at 954-749-0095. Shay can explain a lot about what goes into a true custom build.

Who made the barrel?
Opinions on 220 gr bullets for the 40 S&W, in the 1911
in 10mm/40 Caliber

The slide will be very sluggish. I tried them in a 2011 and the slide would cycle slow and seemed to slow down my splits.
