  1. I cant speak for Atlas. Their guns look great. I do own an Akai and an SV. A good analogy would be comparing one of the highly modified sports cars such as the COPO Camaro or the Shelby Mustang to a Ferrari. All of them are nice and go fast but the SV is more refined with all inhouse parts. You can see the quality when you disassemble one. There's a reason why 20 year old infinity guns are still running strong.

  2. Last weekend at a match I had an issue with bumping the safety causing me to have obvious issues. I said no more and ordered the flat safety from Patriot Defense. I installed it tonight with no fitting necessary and immediately noticed the difference in grip and comfort. I have fairly large hands and the original safety always dug into my support hand. I’ll be shooting my first match this weekend with it, but so far I am pleased with the outcome.

  3. I use coated 220’s from SNS with VV340 and mixed brass with no issues. My last station on the Dillon 650 is a Lee factory crimp die and I’ve never had chambering issues.you might want to look into a Lee factory crimp die, they are relatively inexpensive.

  4. Well I will say that was in 2013 with an 5.4" infinity barrel. That could have been a factor as well but coated and fmj worked just fine. I tested titegroup, vv320, and vv340 with my fcd set to just take the bell out. My most accurate load was PD 165 with vv340 at 1.135 OAL. Second best was 180's with 340 and OAL didn't affect group size and velocity. Could have been the gun but it did make me very reluctant to try plated again.

  5. The diameter of the bullet does matter greatly when dealing with accuracy and velocity SD. The plated bullets I used had OK accuracy and tye velocity varied by as much as +/- 100 fps. FMJ from PD and other manufacturers always measure .400 on the dot with my caliper.  Most coated are .401. They vary +/- 10-15 with fmj and coated. I have yet to use plated in 9mm because of my experience with plated in 40. If you like them, you like them. I'm just sharing my experience.

  6. I've been reloading 9mm for years and mostly used bayou bullets but recently I gave the Xtreme 124gr FMJ's a try. I have to say, I am honestly not impressed and a disappointed in the quality. My COAL varies considerably (1.125-1.105) using the same manufacturer's brass. After measuring that, I measured the bullets and found the same inconsistency with them. Later I loaded the bayous again with the same brass to compare and there was no deviation in the COAL. I guess I'll be sticking to bayou bullets from now on. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

  7. I have had a set of dies for going on 4 years that were given to me. They are RCBS 9mm FAR. From what I understand it was a round developed by Tanfoglio/EEA as a blow back design but never took off. Does anyone own a pistol in this caliber?
