Very nice. I'm looking to expand mine.
Where you located? Might be able to work something out

Figured there are some artisans/craftsmen here who will appreciate this.

Korn is hardly hard, Sarge...what about some Opeth? Ghost Reveries is an incredible album from start to finish.
But if you really want to impress, we can catch a few beers and a TOOL show in your neck of the woods when they tour next summer

And it sucks because it was one gun handling skill that set IDPA apart from USPSA.
I am a new shooter, but quickly became very involved in the volunteering aspects of our local matches. If it weren't for my promise to help set up and run the next Tri-State Championship, I wouldn't renew my membership.

"+1...don't like the new movement rules, or the loss of the tac/retention reload."
??
Can you explain what you mean by your comment regarding loss of the tac/retention reload?
Thanks.
With round dumping legal, there is really no need for that skill...at least in the capacity in which it was used before the rule change. There might be very few occasions which it can be done and be an advantage on a stage, but very few.
Now you can just drop 3 shots on the hardest target on the array before your reload, slide lock reload, and be on your way.

It is a game, but there are ways to make it more enjoyable, and some that don't……..that said, we like playing it and will find creative advantages in those rules, all in all, who cares, it is the trigger time …………….
+1...don't like the new movement rules, or the loss of the tac/retention reload... but as long as I'm seeing a red fiber dot in the middle of some brown, I'm happy.
And no, this isn't a poop joke.

My shadow and my SP01 have the same amount of takeup.
I believe the only difference is the reset. The reset on the SP01 is marginally longer but come on, its a single action gun with a 2.5mmish reset...it hardly matters.
For the price, the SP01 can be oufitted MUCH, MUCH cheaper.
agreed on the reset...and you are right, for a starter DA/SA on a budget, the SP-01 is it

I know in my area the top distributors are selling .22 by the pallet (not case) on a first come basis to certain people they know). That is why it is not making it to other distributors and gun shops. Personally I don't know where those pallet loads go once purchased, but it's not to any place or anyone I know. When you look on the internet those that are selling bricks want $70-$90 a brick, utterly ridiculous.
Udderly ridiculous, indeed............and have you seen the milk prices lately???

I have an SP-01 (non-Shadow) that I run in USPSA and IDPA. It has been done up, w/ comp hammer, sights, old 85C trigger, and CGW Ultra-Lite kit and SRT. I love it. Great gun, runs like water from a well. The only real difference in the function between the 2 is the SA take-up before the break. The Shadow is a non-FPB, leaving less take-up.

Glad to hear about all the metal heads in the sport. My wife almost had me convinced that I was strange for amping the heavy at my age.

Hey, Corey! Filled out my application and check, will send it in tomorrow. Hopefully it gets in in time for me to grab a spot on squad 203 with my mentor and other shooters from our local club. Maybe you could bring that SUPER SWEET Tac Sport for me to drool over....I promise I won't get any(much) on it . Hope the SP-01 standard mag release I sent you worked out. Look forward to meeting you, and shooting a great match!

I have a similar issue (ganglion cyst) in my left wrist, but more middle/thumb side. It is on again off again pain and restricts the full motion my wrist is normally capable of. I just started wearing a brace, and it has helped. What is this widget y'all speak of?

I have not had the OAL increase "overnight" but rather set the depth and then after 2-10 rounds the OAL changes to a greater length.
Any help (as has come in) greatly appreciated.
Garry
Have you checked both sides of the seating anvil to see which one best fits the JHP profile? It could be the bullets are not seating straight, causing a slight bulge keeping them from gauging

IDPA is in no way more "real" than USPSA. It is a game.
You don't get a walkthrough in "real."
You don't have eye/ear protection in "real."
Paper isn't shooting back.
The likelihood of the majority of the IDPA "scenarios" are less than slim.
The only thing that both offer to the "real' is muscle memory and reflex.
Just a noob's $.02

Lesson learned....don't be "that" guyThis has been pretty entertaining
But it gave me a good laugh while eating lunch.

This thread got me thinking that Chuck Norris is just in a league of his own, He doesn't need a knife..... he will just cut you in half with his hand.
That's only if his stare doesn't cut you in half first
