  1. I ended up finding a Gen3 Glock 34 and I'm very happy with it.
  2. I could do that. But I figured I would test out the market and see if I can find a G34 being sold privately. Which is possible. Just have to pay more than normal. I'm going to wait it out and If I can't find a G34 Might just pull the trigger on a G17. Sounds like I would be happy with either one. And I only reload FMJ so It sounds like I won't have a problem with my reloads.
  3. How about shooting reloads in both? I do a lot of reloading. No special type of load. Mainly 115GR 9mm. For Matches I do shoot factory ammo. Do Glocks have issues with reloads? I know glock doesn't recommend it but what are your experiences with reloads..if any. My Sig226 hasn't had any reload problems. No jams. Thanks
  4. I've just gotten into USPSA and have been shooting Production so that would be the main purpose for it. Thanks for the feed back as it does make me realize that worst case I could get a G17 and still be ok. Love my Sig but realizing now why some guys don't like the long DA to SA trigger. I train with it a lot and still have a tough time with it. Plus I want something new
  5. Currently shooting a Sig 226 which i'm looking to replace with a Glock 34. Problem is I live in Mass and it's very hard to come across a Glock 34. If I can't find one for sale anytime soon what do you think about a Glock 17? Huge difference or should I just be a little patient? Thanks
  6. Try using a grip master. Allows you to iscolate your fingers. especially focusing on pressing down with just the trigger finger. Many things you can do with this. I have two. One at my desk at work and another one in my car while i'm driving. They are great stress relievers as well. Fairly cheap to buy. Can get it from Amazon or any sporting goods store like Dicks or Modells.
  7. I bought my Mosquito over a year ago. First 100-200 rounds I had a couple of issues both with CCI and other brands as well. Since then it has been flawless. I've put over a 1,000 rounds and NO issues at all. I was nervous when I first bought the gun as I herd people complain about issues. I think people didn't shoot it enough before making judgement
  8. I think due to work I might only be able to do Hopkinton USPSA on Saturday. It all depends on my schedule. Thanks again for the heads up
  9. Hey guys, Been shooting for about 3 years now. Really enjoy the sport and trying to get serious about competitive shooting. Just bought Brian's Book along with a few others. Shot my first USPSA match a few weeks ago. Didn't do great. Hoping to shoot another one this weekend.
  10. This is all great info. I guess I really just want to make sure it has a Par time so I can use this for dry fire practice. Seems like the Pocket Pro II is the way to go. They are both the same exact price so why not.
  11. Hey guys I'm new to the forum and have Brian's book and just started reading it. Already a huge fan. I'm looking to buy a shot timer to help with my dry firing at home and take to the range to test my skills out. I'm getting involved with USPSA and IDPA so really trying to take things to the next level. I've had a free shot timer on my iphone but that's getting a little old. Would like a professional one I can clip onto my belt. I have my mind set on Competition Electronics Pocket Pro I and Pocket Pro II The question is what exactly is the difference. They are both exactly the same cost. I assumed the Pocket Pro II would be the way to go since it has more features and a new technology. But the Pocket Pro I is exactly the same cost. Is there something I'm missing between the two Models. They both seem to have the same features such as setting a Par time. Thanks,
