Seth,
Your secret has been exposed! When you say "I wasn't watching my sights" you aren't kidding
Looks good

Thank your son for a job well done!
If he set it up, ran it, and put it away he did a good job!
Every job has a few bumps to it --- it's how you handle them that counts
Hopefully this will encourge others to step up. It is a great experience; really

I did have bullets mixed up in the R&D department! Got the micrometer out and the issue cleared up!

Elaine is shooting the round gun now and is waffling on A-8.
You can talk to her tomorrow about taking on that Walsh fellow! She has been married to me for a while so Cliffs "bringing the pain" may have little effect on her.
She says I am the biggest pain she knows

anyone got a starting point for Montana Gold 124gr JHP using VV 320.
The MG bullet has a channelure so seating long won't work. The VV book lists 4.4 max for a Hornady JHP but the oal is way longer than the bullet I am going to be using
I have been using 4.2gr for remington 124's but tha MG bullet is seated deeper. I need to find a starting point for working up to a 135PF in a G17 .... 4.1 or 4.0??
Thanks

Do you like your RTF and would you recomend it? I am looking at getting a G17 and am looking at the RTF.
Is the finish/grip worth having or is a std 17 with grip tape just as good?
I must admit I dig the slide cuts!
Thanks

I think that during set up is a GREAT time to point out problems with stages.
I also think pointing out problems on match day politely and shooting the stage as well as you can goes farther than being a "range lawyer".
One of the great joys in this sport is designing, constructing and having 40-50 people shoot your designed stage! More shooters should try it.

My co-workers and I have been using Sta-bil in boats, bikes,ATV's and small engines. Some have gone to the newer Sta-bil marine additive. I saw a new brand called Starlon yesterday and the shop said it is far better than Sta-bil. I wonder
What additives do YOU use in your bike, boat, small engine both 2 stroke and 4 cycle?
Thanks

I also picked up the Lim gun again this year after shooting Revo for a year and a half. Maybe it's just something different but the limited feel good!
I intend to go back to revolver but for now having fun with limited. I feel like I am shooting better than when I stopped shooting limited
Thanks for bringing this up

Welcome!
You are lucky to be in an area where you can shoot USPSA/IDPA almost every weekend during non snow months
If you are just getting into USPSA I would recommend North Mountain Practical Shooters in Strasburg Va. About 1 1/4 hrs from you.
Come see us in most likely April

Warren,
It is a 5" barrel. I measured the front sight I currently have and it measures .280" from the top of the gun rib to the top of the sight. Would a stock .300" sight help any or do I still need to go taller?
Thanks
Dan C
Around .340 to .350 would be about right for a 6" barrel. I forgot to ask the barrel length.

Warren,
I have one of your .300 pin in fiber sights. Great sight!
I want to use a LPA rear sight on my 5" 625. It shoots about 3" high with the rear sight turned all the way down.
Have you or can you make a taller front sight for use with this rear? I would guess it would be .330 or .350 tall.
Thanks

we got our from Boats US. It was called a dock Cart. Has held up well over the years. Will hold a dillon range bag + assorted other drinks etc. We have pile bags on top to haul. Has held up well for 40 bucks

I have been using FMJ's in revo. I shot some Bayou bullets last weekend and they seemed to work well with smoke not noticeable. They are a lot cheaper than the FMJ's and I will be doing more work with them.

I am making minor out of my 4" 686 using vv320 @ 125gr MG bullet. this is using max load @+P. Load hovers around 130pf+-
