Make sure primer plunger is tight against the frame. Tear down primer assy and throughly clean....I was amazed my first time...yikes!

Thoughts on going to an open pistol, Atlas Chaos in particular, my eyes are getting old with the rest of my body. I enjoy my Titan with irons but am tempted to try an open gun . Hope to be able that shoot and love the sport for a few more years anyway.
I guess my questions.......how hard is the transition to red dot, is it easier with near sighted vision, and getting worse. Can I just continue shooting 9 mm minor which I do now or need to re-tool.?
Your thoughts and experiences appreciated....as my dear old Mom said....gettin’ Old ain’t for sissy’s.........

While we’re on the Titan subject....any owners experimented with different recoil spring weights with 9 mm reloads??
Adam suggested I go 11 lb. .....but wondering about any other experiences....lighter perhaps....Thanks !

Hope this is the correct area.....been looking at these Peltors for replacement of custom silicon ear plugs. Trying to eliminate muffs out side as well.
Any thoughts or experience with this model. Looked at several other types....damn they are expensive!!

If your not having any issues with your stock MBX mags ....order appropriate springs from MBX and carry on....no need yo complicate something that works......just my experience...............

Chipu12......same here.....readjusted the EGW pin lower and it definitely helps......crap brass is still crap brass.....

Check and make sure the primer ram is screwed in properly underneath. I can feel crap brass when I try to insert a primer....never fails.some much worse than others.
Also periodically tear the whole primer assy down for a through cleaning....I was amazed what was in there...lol.......

Whatever it’s worth...I have 2 of DAVE Dawson’s 9 mm Edges....he was still doing trigger work then...now it’s add on parts..I get it. Very happy with the pistols and great service as well!
if I were do order another I would definitely go with Brazos.......or get an Atlas Titan and be done with it....lol.......

Great thread....I’ve put about 25k through my 9mm Titan....beyond satisfied. Back before the dust up I ordered mine with 4 tuned MBX mags...perfect. I also ordered 4 of the “new” STI 140’s. Sent first batch back, sold the second set. Nothing against STI but the mags didn’t work..even the Upula loader doesn’t work........have since ordered 8 more stock MBX.......
flawless.......knock on wood!!!!!

cleaned cam block, adjusted camming rod , cleaned and readjusted shell plate .... knock on wood... Udie working much better

Pushed a lot of rounds through my 650.... very, very satisfied customer.
My only consistent complaint is the seating of 9mm brass when it enters the shell plate. It seems to move as it goes up hitting the die. Every once in awhile it will damage thi case lip.
I must , on occasssion, tap the brass with my finger to get it to seat up into the die.
I have readjusted the shell plate ad nausium , cleaned and adjusted the shell rod ........any guidance greatly appreciated.
This slows down the process big time. Am using an EGW U- die....love it.......

First...I'm glad you chose the Titan .....my 9 mm has 10-12 K down the pipe.....and it's been absolutely flawless.....damn good pistol from a darn nice guy running a great business.
Secondly......mags.....one word MBX!!!.....I was running 15 STI 140's through my old Edges and have sold almost all of them. Even 4 " new style" mags. Nothing against another fine company like STI...but these mags were just not reliable though the TItan...and I tried every combination possible. My 12 MBX mags have performed perfectly with no modifications.
Just my experiences....mags are the weak link in our system for sure.

My experiences...I have. 2 of Dave Dawson's older 9 mm Edges.....back when he was tuning triggers and going over the entire pistol.
I recently learned Dave is no longer doing any modifications other than bolt on.
If I were to purchase another Edge I would try Brazos.....heard nothing but get reviews by owners....just my opinion!

I've loaded a large number of 9 mm on my 650.....installed an EGW Udie..deprimer .....money well spent!!!
Cannot praise this product enough........case gauge rejects absolute minimum.
I don't have a dog in this Glock Bulge debate.....but I know a lot of 9 mm brass gets deformed in one process or another and this die helps immensely......adjustmin until it just kisses the shell plate and load away.........just my experiences.

My eye doctor made a set of Rudy's with essentially reverse bi-focals on top...front sight crystal clear...targets not so much.....old age sucks..in more ways than one!

My feedback is this : After reading this forum for many years I've come to this conclusion....This is perhaps the best discussion group for our hobby / sport working today!!
I would like to thanks Brian for undertaking this thankless job of getting this Forum started, keeping it going , and all the wise folks that make life easier , educational and informative !

I load 12 primer tubes at a time for each run of 9mm.....then my shoulder starts crying......old age ...at least my Mr Bullet Feeder saves my left arm....

I might add...get Brian Enos DVD ..." Competition Reloading ".....a little dated but should be included with every 650....it excellent...and Brian looks like he's 20 years old...lol!

Perhaps my phrasing was incorrect...it does not " lock up" the press..its just when the EGW die hits the stepped portion its like a brick wall.....that being said..it's crap brass for reloading..IMHO...9mm to plentiful for messing around with this stuff.....

Help with open guns...9 mm ??......conversation at a match yesterday and was mentioned that compensators were not effective runnng 9 mm Minor.
Not enough gas pressure to utilize function.......any experiences.
In my old age am considering the switch from Limited Minor to Limited Open?.....any experiences or council greatly appreciated. Been considering an Atlas Chaos in 9 mm.......I'm throughly satisfied with my Titan.
Any thoughts appreciated.........

Perhaps a silly question.......could you start out shooting. 9mm Chaos with Titan loads.???.......that would be minor 147 BB...1.165”.
Trying really hard to convince myself to order a Chaos........but it’s big bucks and I got a lot tied up in my Titan.....gear, reloads, mags ..etc.
Will any of my current stuff be usable in open?
