Can I pretty please see how it turned out? I've been trying to get with Nordic on actually manufacturing a clamp that fits instead of false advertising a proper fitment for the 712. Got to give me a few days, I'm currently on the road. No problem man! I talked to Nordic, they said the Mossberg Clamp they make may fit better, I'll have to test that theory.

What I will probably end up doing is setting up a section on my website to get an order count in and pre-payment once we finalize the design and color. When I got mine I cleaned off all of the packing grease and what not, cleaned it with Mpro7 solvent and lubed it with Mpro7 LPX gun oil. I wouldn't put any lube on the gas piston or in the gas piston seat.

My vote would be for stainless too, but you're right, whatever everyone else wants! So, for the people that have already replied saying they want one, can you please go back and edit your responses to add your finish preference? Thanks.

Won't the stainless on stainless look better? Both finishes should hold up just as well I woul think. A cross post would be good on the CZ Shotgun Forum section.

Sounds good, our SolidWorks guy can throw things together pretty quick, he's very good with it. I'm more simplistic CAD also haha.

USMC90 and I are trying to get on the same page with the drawings. Solidworks doesn't play nicely with a lot of CAD software out there! Yea those can be a pain to merge haha, let me know if you guys need any help, I can ask our SolidWorks or CADWorx guys for help. Good to hear there is progress on it!

Thanks for this info Aleric. I went to the shop yesterday and looked at the utility. Got shy about recoil, came home and did some more reading. On the way home I checked out to see what loads walmart stocks and they have the exact same loads/boxes you are referring to. 100 rounds for $20. Thanks very much I think you have calmed my fears on recoil; I don't mind spending the $80 on that stock. I think I'm going to have to order it now for sure. Don't take this in a mean/rude way, but recoil on a standard loads from a semi auto 12ga is a joke. That's good to hear. Remember I'm a noob with shotguns. I've never shot a semi 12. Only a semi 20 Rem 1100, I'm thinking the 712 should be similar or slightly more. And it was not bad at all. The mossberg 500 12 that I shot kicked pretty good. I think with that ALS stock I should definitely be comfortable. Handling recoil is all about how you shoulder the gun. I was shooting 12ga when I was about 10 years old with no issues (granted I was a hearty little bastard). If you haven't check out a skeet clinic, no better way to learn how to get a gun managed under recoil IMO. Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it online first. That would help me on the rifles has well I am sure. I had been looking at Magpul Tactical SHotgun dvd set, I wonder if that would have something like that in there. I will investigate that more on my own. I ordered the 712 and will find the ATI stock for it too. Anyway, I don't want to deviate this thread from it's original topic anymore than I already have. Mine cycled those 1200fps (I'm assuming they are 1 1/8) straight out of the box with no tuning. Not sure about Walmart, I've stopped even bothering looking for ammo there.

The minimum I load I have put through mine are the 1200 FPS. It would be interesting to see if one ounce loads work.

Does the rib width match? That's awesome I haven't seen those before, just may have to get one. Thanks! LOL... I have no idea if the rib width matches...I don't have a 712 yet . The description says 'up to 3/8' width, so I imagine it would. One thing you can be sure of is I will be trying it out! (Amazon is great about returns, especially if it's the wrong size etc, so it's a no risk situation for me.) If you happen to try it out first please post! The vent rib measured 5/16" on mine. So this rail is standard picatinny on top? The description was unclear. EDIT: Just kidding, it's weaver, that will work. And it should fit 5/16, which is pretty close to what a standard Rem870 vent rib width is (870 ribs are a very small fraction smaller then 5/16). I found the overall length and width of the adapter: 11.37" Width= 1.10" So the only thing to worry about is the mounting hardware fitting underneath the vents.

If the serial number starts with a 13 then it is a 2013 model. That is what the guys at CZ-USA told me; mine starts with a 13 also.
