  1. People were saying they got a threaded steel bushing that would go inside the threads of the comp so you weren’t always  tightening into the aluminum. You’d leave the bushing in the comp and unscrew it from the barrel... looks like I’m scrolling back to find the mention of it

  2. Has anyone recieved their order form tooth and nail?

They told me all the 10rd mags and 18 rd mags already shipped out and I still havent recieved mine. I also have a few 28s ordered with them.

I've emailed and recieved no reply and when I call it just rings forever without picking up

    Anyone else?
They are working to correct issues w them

  3. Contacted Armscor today to get the barrel nut that replaces the shroud when you install the muzzle break.  Was told to buy the small comp as it comes with the nut (the large comp doesn’t include the nut).  Is that true? I thought a few folks here got the nut for free ...  thanks.
Early adopters called and got it since many of the first testers said it came w it. The first batch of long comps didn't come w the nut which is too why many called and got them. However it was later announced that they would be coming w the comps from that point on. I do believe the guys who got the last batch of long comps got the adapter w it

  4. mag dropping out first shot=describes my average Monday morning

does your pistol have a comp on it?
also i think its awesome that your whole family shoots

I was damn sure it was locked in too. Notice how it didn't happen again ...

    It's a ported barrel

  5. Which end of the shroud is threaded? The gas block end or the muzzle end? I was hoping that you could cut the shroud and still use it with the comp but it didn’t look that way from pics I saw. My vr is still sitting at the shop since they don’t do transfers on the weekend. Ugh!
It's threaded back at the handguard so you would just trim it back to expose the threads of the barrel

  6. I had similar problems at BGSL today. Some were self inflicted-don't try to shoot slugs off hand with the 20 round drum in (too heavy).  My bolt wouldn't go back as far with the Taccom buffer as the factory. I had several instances of partial feed yesterday.  I re-installed the factory buffer today and it is back to running smoothly. Mod was perfect for everything at this match.

I'd like to keep the fluted cover when I get a muzzle brake. I wonder if I could cut it back and use it as the lock nut?

Locking back shouldn't matter based on buffer, it stops on the catch. Talk to Tim @ Taccom about the buffer though since the gun should definitely run better with it. You may need to back the buffer tube out a full turn

Yes you can trim the shroud and use that as the handguard retainer like it is now. Others have already

  7. anybody removing coils from the recoil spring to run lighter loads?
The factory spring goes solid before the buffer bottoms out so that might be a bad idea.

The Taccom bumper solves this w the factory spring and runs even better if you use an AR Carbine spring w 6 coils cut off
