1. Sell it and buy an SP01 Shadow Custom 2014. Should only cost you another $800 or so.

I agree. Why mess around trying to get all those parts when you can buy a great gun out-of-the-box. No worries, no headaches as eveything works. They come with a great trigger!

I personally like working on my guns so I don't mind doing the work myself (being a mechanical engineer, it's fun and I consider it a hobby).

This is how I would do my upgrades:

1. Sights of your choice
2. SRS-2 kit from CGW (or parts that are included in the kit)
3. Potentially a lighter recoil spring (I use an 11#)
4. Grips of your choice

That will put you right at the $200 mark (or slightly over). You could polish up the factory sear, trigger bar, and hammer if you don't mind doing the work yourself (see kneelingatlas's thread or others out there)

Then with a bit more money you can get:

1. T2 disconnector from CGW to drop into your SP01 (T1 if you want to fit it yourself and squeeze every mil out of the tolerance stack and get the shortest reset out of your gun) and
2. Hammer from CGW or CZC (for production: CGW has a re-profiled shadow hammer that fits the SP01 and CZC has a CZ-UB hammer - not sure if they recut the hooks? don't have much experience with it).
3. Billet sear from CGW since it's easier to tune if the safety doesn't engage properly (optional)

Here are a few items that I would also do for reliability, or ease of installation:

1. Reduced trigger return spring and floating trigger pin from CGW
2. Solid firing pin retaining pin
3. Hammer/Disconnect pin

Spare parts:

1. Slide stop
2. Mag springs
3. Trigger Return Spring

I think when all said and done, $1000 will get you an awesome CZ that contends with the SP01 Shadow Custom with a decent % in savings. But that's just me and my 2 cents

2. I had an AA SP01 Shadow and it was great. To me, well worth the $1,500. AA has also built me up a 75B in SAO to use as a dedicated ESP gun in idpa. Again you can really see where they polish and fit things on the inside. The trigger is where they do seem to shine. Crisp, consistent.

I still wish I had that SP01 from them..............

But you like your short dustcover light CZs!

3. Hi Atlas..

is the video from a sp-01 standard with safety? I cant see very well but looks like a 75B SA, dont know if it the same trigger as the sp-01 and with FPB..

This is manual safety SP01 with the firing pin block and hand fir Type 1 disco installed:

could you explain a little bit what mods you did to the disco and the trigger bar and block lifter? (besides the nice polish work)..

I used the type 2 disco but the reset is longer, I would like to get to a similar reset as your cz..

Explained here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773&p=2122417

as I understand the sp-01 with safety should use the type 2 disco and srs from cgw..

The CGW short reset discos (http://www.cajungunworks.com/short_reset_system_-_srs.html) in order of thickness (don't ask me why):

Type 2 (thinnest)

Type 1

Type 3 (thickest)

The thicker the disco, the shorter the reset.

The Type 2 drops into the FPB equipped models and the Type 1 drops into the non block models, so The type 1 can be fit to the block models for a shorter reset just as the Type 3 can be fit to the non-block models for a shorter reset still. I have a Shadow with a Type 3 disco which is the ultimate short reset.

So when are you going to fit your type 3 to your shadow?

4. So i have several 19rders but want to sell those +2 extensions to get 17rd lock plates to use with springer base plates. I can't seem to find anyone who sells just the 17rd lockplates (with or without baseplates). Anyone have any leads? I've been looking for awhile now and I've come up empty handed =/.

Thanks guys,

Chris

5. is that the one i handled last saturday.....love the trigger job on your CZ's

You played with my buddy Chris' CZs, I'll have to show you mine next time

Definitely can be taken out of context if no one knew what a CZ was. I've yet to feel a smoother SP01...we'll see when we see marc next time.

:sight:

6. Hi

There s one persone that does speaks English- and he is awsome guy and good understanding seller

Jakub Radhi

KasaPha@czub.cz

He is the man

I was able to talk to him. He's super friendly and explained the process of trying to get one of their guns into the states. Didn't have a whole lot of time but wanting to go back today. They had a custom TS with the beavertail and trigger gaurd undercut in order to simulate a grip closer to the 75 series. Had shadows all over the place with different trigger and grip setups. 97Bs, and P series as well. Had a ton of hunting rifles but I don't know anything about em.

7. So I'm here...I can pick stuff up if still have wifi. Went there yesterday and they've got every CZ in stock. Magwells, grips, etc.

I'm thinking about buying some grips and a magwell for the TS. And maybe the same for a shadow?

Pics to come when I have time

8. I'm on the other side of the coin and need to have thinner grips to reach the mag release. I've got a couple extra rubber pairs and a plastic pair off a TS. Wanna trade for your thinner ones? I'll add cash.

9. I use a solid surface with a 2x4" piece of a wood cut to size and drill out a hole for the pin to go through (cheap/custom bench block). It's easier to use a starter punch and finish off with a pin punch

10. So I'm going to Prague this coming April (vacation among other cities in Europe) and figure if I have time and if it's worthwhile, I should try to make a stop to visit the shop. Is there any mystery item that I should load up on "X" to try to import back? Might be cool to check out what they have and see if I can buy parts to bring back (btw, I have no idea what the legalities are on this topic so for anyone that does have info on this, please do share!).

Link to the store: http://www.czub.cz/en/pages/76-store-cz-in-prague.aspx

Kinda just wondering what they have that we don't (or what's a lot cheaper out there) that I can bring back...

Thanks guys

11. SRS-1 - Triple results - cuts the DA 50%, yet retains 100% reliability,

cuts the SA reset approximately 50%, plus allows you to dry-fire your CZ all you want. Includes our new 61050 "Perfection" FP and 61100 spring steel FP retaining pin. Includes our "blue" HS-13 hammer spring.

SRS-2 - This is a "Master" kit that allows you to tune your CZ for self-defense, range, or competition use;. Includes our HS-12000, 11.5# (black) and HS-13 (blue) hammer spring. HS-12000 can deliver a drop-in 6.5 - 7.0# DA for competition use for most primers. HS-13 will ignite any primer on the planet, 100%. Includes everything in the SRS-1 plus extras.

The "extras" include a lifter spring and the additional hammer spring (from the looks of the picture)

What is the difference between the Cajun SRS 1 and 2..... besides the extra hammer spring

One is for use with fpbs and one is for use without.

The type 1 disconnector is used for one without FPBS and the type 2 disco is used for one with a FPBS

12. Hope this is where I can post this sort of thing...but anyone need or interested in a small frame witness 9mm conversion kit? (complete top-end with a couple 10rd EAA factory mags that are virtually brand new). Finish has seen its days (not super worn or anything, just standard wear on a 15+ year old top end) but the rifling of the barrel looks great.

13. Some bullets and you're good to go!

I did the following to mine. (Everything from Cajun Gun Works)

1. Short Reset Disconnector (Type 2)
2. Adjustable Billet Sear
3. KIT3 Hammer (OEM Shadow hammer with recut hooks and profile)
4. 11# Recoil Spring
5. Trigger Pin
6. EZ/Drift Sight Set
7. SRS-2 Kit - Includes the following
• Reduced Power Firing Pin Block Spring
• Reduced Power Firing Pin Return Spring
• Extended FP
• 11.5# Hammer Spring (this is what I’m using)
• 13# Hammer Spring
• Lifter Arm
• Lifter Arm Spring
• Firing Pin Retaining Pin (Solid)

And a polished trigger job and some grips to your liking...

I'm not too sure if I can do anything else to it? Now I can just blame the Indian and not the arrow.

EDIT: I take that back - Shadow extended mag release, maybe extended safety, and maybe a 85C combat trigger.

14. Thanks trgt. Matt did email me back within 24 hours when I emailed them about a week ago. He told me to call them to place the order...but no return call yet. I've heard great things about them so hopefully they'll still be able to disassemble and ship before the 1st...I emailed them again and will call them later today...
