I noticed on my nickel were hard to get on. I think I broke the corners on the front of the mags and that worked for mec

You could try a 9 but I’m not sure the dot would hold up. Like rowdy said proper grip and tension play a huge role. I recently made the switch to co from production and notice the dot bouncing around way more than i noticed the fiber did. For me I have to time the dot more than irons

You can definitely do it with out removing the sear cage. Lift up the sear spring leg and get behind the left side safety with a thin flat blade screwdriver and gently pry it loose. It should come that way. Install new lh safety and make sure your sear leg is up then push back on sear cage and push safety through. Then push in lh detent and finish seating lh safety. Don’t forget to put sear spring back down, if not racking the slide will mess it up

Most likely the disco but could be the trigger bar spring. You could add a small amount of upward pressure to the spring and also make sure it’s riding in the trigger bar track on the bottom of the trigger bar.

It’s really not that complicated. Before you take it apart just take pics/mental notes on how it come apart. It’s just 4 parts. Probably won’t notice much gain by doing it though, might smooth it up just a little bit.

Looks normal to me.

Make sure the mag brake is in correctly. The pin hole should be facing rearward. If it’s backwards the mags will bind up and would also cause some funky trigger problems possibly.

Someone else holding your phone. First person is cool for the people who don't shoot the sport but you will learn exponential more from a 3rd person view. Video is for improving movement and nothing else really.
True. Honestly I would just use it to show family and friends. My phone takes good video. I think you talked me out of spending the cash, thanks !

Thinking about buying a camera to get Match video. I’m thinking a hat mounted is what I want but someone mentioned a camera that mounts to your ear. Either way I want light weight and no head bands
-
Grip harder with your weak hand and not so much with strong hand. That will free up your finger to move faster.

The set screw on the sear looks like it may have backed out and needs to be tightened down. If I remember correctly you will need to get the hammer back to SA and apply safety then tighten the screw down until it makes contact with the shelf on safety.
Hope this helps.

So are you trying to make this permanent

What are you soldering ? You can wrap the barrel in wet napkins or a wet towel except for the spot you’re soldering. 15% silver solder melts around 1200-1300 degrees so it takes some heat. Don’t think barrels are tempered but not really sure. There is also heat sink paste type stuff you can buy from any hvac supplier and it will absorb/dissipate the heat but could cause finish issues with blueing.

This for me but with TTI +3/+4 pads. It's a bit of a push on the 23rd, but it seats reliably since day one. No extra slamming necessary like some of my glock friends have to do.
What springs and followers?
-
I’m using TTi pads and wolf springs so I guess I should try czc springs. If I go with czc springs and followers would I gain a round or 2 with TTi pads ?
-
I’ve got a couple CO guns and a few 17 rd mecgar mags with TTi pads and I’m getting 21 rds in them. Is there a way to get maybe up to 23 in my mags and still be legal.
Thanks in advance.

With the adjustable sear from cgw you can install the set screw a little long. That will create a a hump when you have to engage the safety and should eliminate engaging the safety when you don’t want to. I’d go with the thin safeties but their 90$. The adjustable sear is probably 40ish$. Like rowdy said safeties have to function per the rules. I’ve never had my guns checked at locals but level 2s will definitely check
-
Thin safeties would be what I’d do. The adjustable sear from cgw would probably work for local matches but shoot a level 2 and up and it won’t pass because the safety won’t work.

I’ve got a thin set for a shadow 2 I’d sale for a reasonable price. On if interested

I've thought about it before. Not sure how big of a pain in the ass it'd be to do.
I just did a set of the stock rubber grips and they turned out good. JB weld sticks solidly so far.

I have a couple shadows laying around and I’m not sure which dot I should go with. I’m familiar with the dpp but not sure if this would be the best option. I want either a dpp or rts2. Which one would fit the slide best and not hang over the edges of the slide in yalls experience ?

I can’t afford big Match fees like y’all either.

I beat y’all like bass drums every match.
