  1. I ordered a 650 for 9mm on January 28th, and it arrived this past Saturday, March 9th. I was quite happy to wander out to my driveway and see it sitting there, and it's all setup and cranking out ammo.
  2. Shipped today. I canceled my cyanide capsule order. And my wife also reports that I seem happier today...
  3. That's a good question. I'll give her some ideas tonight, such as talking to my loading mentor at my wake and asking if he'll show her how to use it. Alternatively, she could use it to make ferret toys and sell them at a flea market. Another option would be to convert it into a pretty can opener, since she hates the one that I insist on owning.
  4. More days have passed without the arrival of my press. My new plan is to go get some lumber and start working on a gallows. If I complete it before the press arrives, I will swing from it. If it arrives before it's finished, I'll disassemble it and build some more mobile target stands. So, if I wind up as a suicide story, let it be known that Brian Enos and Dillon are to be held emotionally (not logically or rationally) responsible.
  5. What the? I ordered my 650 a day before you, but haven't received it yet. I think it is your moral duty to give yours to me. Let me know if you need directions to my house.
  6. Hmm, sounds like I better get moving setting up my reloading area. It might be here sooner than I anticipated! This is a very okay problem to have. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. For those of you have received Dillon presses recently through brianenos.com, can you tell me how many weeks there were between order and arrival? I'm certainly aware that things are taking quite a while, but I'm trying to gauge the the number of weeks I have left before mine arrives, so that I can budget my time properly in preparing my reloading room. I ordered a 650 on 1/28, so my guess is that I'll see it mid-late March. Thanks
  8. Hey, thanks for the tips, Jack. Last night I ordered a tumbler and media separator, since those are not tied to a specific reloading press decision. I'm 95% certain that I'll be going with the XL650, which I'll order from here. I realize that there is often advice against getting such a press as your first, but I'm not really one who believes in "starter presses" or other things like that. Initially, I'll be loading nothing but 9mm. Today's research task is to find a scale that is the right balance of being not too junky and not too expensive. Getting setup to reload is proving to be pretty pricey!
  9. Hi all, I decided to create an account here after seeing how much valuable feedback I've been reading in trying to put together my reloading shopping list. I currently have nothing for reloading, other than a few buckets of brass and a workbench, so I'm starting from scratch. I've decided to go with an XL650, so now I'm working on the shopping list, trying to determine what I need, what I want, what would be nice to have, what I should wait and see about, etc. But, this is just shared here for the sake of the introduction. If I actually have some questions or seek some guidance before putting in my order, I will post elsewhere. Thanks. And hey, I enjoyed Brian's book.
