  1. I tried rotating my support hand wrist all the way forward today. Like the Bob Vogel video on page one of this thread. My thumb was almost to the end of the frame on my m&p9(I have huge hands). Muzzle flip was cut in half. I'll need to work on this for it to feel natural. But it's already an improvement.

  2. I bought the WE Toucan "Big Bird". It's an unlicenced M&P clone. It's around $90. Extra mags are $22. Now if I could just get my propane adaptor to work.

Dimensionally it looks and feels like my M&P9, but without the logos.

  3. The kits and triggers only are available @ Apex...just call. You must call.

I just installed the flat trigger today (already had the FSS polymer trigger kit in my CORE), it's quite simply - Amazing! :surprise: I'm gonna get another for my limited Pro M&P.

Two brothers has them, and they're on sale.

    Here's just the trigger.

And the fss kit with trigger.

  4. They always just leave a failed delivery note and I have to go to the Post office to pick it up. I caught the carrier one day leaving the note at the door and he had to admit he didn't even have the box on the truck. Complaining to our weak-ass Postmaster does no good.

    Got to love government employees.

  5. In case anyone is interested I just fit a fiber optic front sight to my .22 conversion, I modified the Dawson Precision sight for the Desert Eagle (0.225" tall): http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=800019E6-1398439449

Did it zero without having to crank the rear up to much?
I haven't shot it yet, but it's 0.010" shorter than stock as far as I can tell.

I'm excited to see this. It's part of my Christmas present to myself. I'll finally own a tanfoglio.

  6. You mention being tight on money, and that you can get a new Glock for $400. Have you thought about posting a want to trade deal? New in box Glock model xx for 1911? Depending on how fast you can get the Glock, you could do a generic add and list all the Glock models available for you to purchase. That would give you about $100-150 more buying power. Especially trading a new Glock for a used 1911.

  7. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's thin plastic sheeting with a mild adhesive on the back. It's used in new homes to protect the carpet during final cleaning. You could buy a roll of that. Do the whole room, and then put your plywood on to of the plastic under the bench. That would keep the primers that get away out of your carpet, and give you a hard surface directly under your bench for easy cleanup.

  8. ^^^^^^ This was the best advice I got. Buy more safe than you need. In my case, I bought the biggest safe I could get in my room. Which was twice the size I needed. 5 years later, I wish it was bigger. Lol.

I recently bought rifle rods to help maximize long gun storage, especially with scoped rifles. Now I need to figure out which pistol rack I want to use. And maybe a door organizer. I need a tiny person to close in my safe to check clearance between the door and internal shelves.

  9. oh and to throw a spanner in the works a CZ Tactical Sports in either 9mm (will be minor only in limited though) or 40 cal makes a good multi purpose USPSA limited/3gun pistol.

they are really nice shooting guns and the SA trigger on them is very nice right out of the box....

Yeah I have looked at them, and CZ Customs can do some amazing things with them. Unfortunately all the holsters need to be modified since there are no TS holsters. In the end not a huge deal, but something about taking a dremel to my DAA Racemaster to get it to fit gives me the willy's. Plus I am a huge stainless fan, so Tanfoglios just plain look better to me.

Its part as to why I was looking at a Limited Pro, since in the end its very close to a CZC TS minus the grip reduction. It is still on the table to a point, but I find that I keep coming back to Tanfos.

It's hard to best a tango in the looks dept. Not to mention they're cheaper and more versatile, 38 super, 45, 10mm.
