  1. I called twice and got voicemail. Submitted my build via rifle builder and will just wait for a call.
  2. Called this morning to order, but JP told me that they were not taking orders until next week. The guy that I spoke with said that pricing was not in his system yet. Disappointing
  3. Was it still a 16 week build time? I am planning to order a GMR-15, but would like to see a video with one first. Not sure why because I have made up my mind on purchasing.
  4. Thanks for the replies. These casings were once fired LC and FC head stamped. It did seem like there was more variation with the FC head stamp than the LC. This is just for hoser ammo as well. It sounds like these will be fine to load, and it is expected with the case trimmer. I did move fairly quickly when trimming, so that could be cause for some of the variation.
  5. I am just starting to reload .223 and started with a Dillon 650XL and the RT1500 case trimmer. I set up the case prep toolhead with the Dillon sizing/decapping die and the case trimmer. After setting up the trimmer for 1.75", and I ran some brass through the process. I measured the first few cases and the case length was fairly consistent at 1.748"-1.751". After running several hundred case through the process, I decided to measure the case. The case length varied significantly; ~1.738-1.750". The trimmer dies is fairly tight and so is the locking nut for the trimmer. I find it difficult to tighten the trimmer too much because when you tighten the trimmer, the trimmer dies get loosened. So, my questions, 1. Will these shorter cases (1.738" or so) be alright to load? Or, should I scrap the short case? How short is acceptable? I am shooting an AR rifle. 2. Is this variation normal for the trimmer? Or, is there something that is not right with the setup? Thanks again for your help!
  6. Any idea when the 3-gun model will be available? I guessing that it will sell at MSRP since its new?
  7. Great thread with some good info. How are the JP rifles 16" barrels? Would that be something to consider as well? I assume that the gas block can be adjusted so recoil should be similar to the 18"?
  8. Powder Valley had Titegroup in stock yesterday. Looks like it's already gone
  9. I don't have my factory mag spring with me, but you can order a magazine spring from nordic and trim it to size. I picked up a spare mag spring with I bought my +5 tube. I think it was like $7 or so.
  10. I am really surprised about your situation. I live in Illinois, and my indoor local range allows shooting slugs. The look of the gun didn't matter to them...2 round tube or 10 round tube. Hope it works out.
  11. I am not sure if any of those fixed it for me. I should have just taken it to the range and ran it to see if it would cycle. I think cycling the rounds by hand caused the problems. I still have the tube turned back about 1/2 a turn so there is a little float. I kept the clamp on too. The gun ran like a champ. If I had to do it again, I would still keep the spring about 13" or so to begin as long as I could load 10 in the tube. I would then take it the range to see how it ran. I wouldn't rely on hand cycling again to determine if it would run or not. Good luck. It's a sweet shooting gun.
  12. I cut the tube spring to 12" and checked to see if the mag tube had any burs. The tube was fine and the mag follower fell through the mag tube without any hiccups. But, I still could not hand cycle the rounds. So, I decided to take the shotgun to the range to see how it handled with live rounds. I shot 30 slugs from different manufacturers and different recoils. The gun cycled great with 10 in the tube without any malfunctions. It ran perfectly. So, all is good with the world today.
  13. I am also interested in the accuracy reviews of DD barrels. DD introduced their 3 gun model at shot this year. Its the V11 Pro with their 18" S2W barrel. Just curious if that would be a contender for a 3 gun rifle. MSRP is $1849 so the street price should be around $1400-$1500. https://danieldefense.com/firearms/daniel-defense-m4-carbine-v11-pro.html ETA: typos!!!! and link added
  14. I'll try it without the barrel clamp to see if that helps. I think my mag spring may be too long, and its putting too much pressure on the cartridge release after 5 rounds. I will try trimming the coil down to 12" to see if that helps also. I bought an extra tube spring just in case. Thanks for the replies
  15. I screwed the tube down fully, and then backed it out 1 turn like Nordic suggested since I am using a barrel clamp. Should I not have backed it out?
  16. I installed a nordic +5 extension tube on my Beretta 1301 Comp 24". I cut the spring to about 13 1/2 inches passed the end of the tube. I loaded the extension with 10 rounds which went in fairly easy. But, I am having trouble cycling those rounds. I push the cartridge release at the bottom of the follower and it will not cycle a round. I racked the bolt and that didn't do anything either. The only other thing that I did with the gun is that I applied loctite to the bolt release screw. Am I doing something wrong? The only way I could get the rounds out of the tube was to push the lever aside that holds the rounds in the tube. ETA: I can load up to 5 in the tube without any cycling issues. When I load more than 5 is when I start having problems. I remeasured the spring after some loading and it's 13" passed the tube.
  17. I just bought a Daniel Defense V11 with the Slim Rail keymod hand guard. I really like. Its lightweight and very versatile. And the slimmer hand guard feels nice and points well.
  18. So, the LMOS reduces the felt recoil of the rifle?
  19. I am looking to build a JP upper to begin shooting 3 gun. I am trying to compare the JP 15 upper vs the JP 15 ORRC upper. Both have the 18" medium contour barrel, adjustable gas block, and standard muzzle break. It appears that the big differences are the blended muzzle attachment (JP 15) vs a jam nut attachment (ORRC), and the low mass bolt carrier (JP 15) vs the full mass (ORRC). But the price difference is $265. Is the JP 15 worth the extra $265?I plan to use the upper on a daniel defense lower and plan to buy a JP lower later as money allows. Any thoughts? I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks

    Colt CRX

JJSJ, where did you find the CRE online?

    Colt CRX

I am in the same boat as the OP. I tried researching the CRX, but there isn't much info out there. I am leaning towards this or the Stag, but would like to hear some reviews before purchasing. One thing that pops out at me with the CRX is the 6 lb trigger. That sounds really heavy.
