300 for the skinnies? Holy snickies!!! Now wonder he worked so hard on the prize table. Once everybody walks away with a gun they will forget about missing the targets all weekend. LOL!!! Kudos for all your hard work Larry! Was that 300 in yards or feet....you know in all the excitement, I forgot myself -

Just finished the stage walk throughs...oh yea, you guys get 10 minutes for walking the stage verses the traditional 5. Work tomorrow and then I am on the plane Friday to start setting up on Saturday. If I get a chance I will post pictures of the stages as they are built. If that is not enough......over $240K from sponsor contributions and 100 guns on the table. Will try not to let you guys down. Larry -

Please be sunny and warm! Jesse, the man upsatirs owns a SCAR 17 so he is an FNH USA fan. We have requested good weather and hopefully that will work out.....in the event it is cold, we will have warming barrels available and ready to keep you warm during the cold start time. I even called your hotel and told them to give you a top floor room so there is no chance of it raining in your room at night Larry -

This... We have to be back in DC Saturday night to fly back, so I'm hoping we're on the morning squad! Please send Linda an email at lchico at msn.com and request a Thursday morning, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning to accomondate your flight out Saturday night. Please do this as soon as possible so she can have a note of it. As far as squad lists, Linda usually makes them up the day before registration so she can balance squads if necessary. We do not like to have a squad of 14 following a squad of 8...been there and that is not fun. Hope you understand our logic. Makes for good match management. At least that is what they told me in class. -

I have been contacted by another participant that cannot make the match. They would also like to donate their match slot to a member of the military or veteran who is not registered in the match. Please contact me for details. Also, the aones are as follows: ZONE 1 - stages 1-3, ZONE 2 - stages 4-6 and ZONE 3 - stages 7-9. Sorry I did not make that clear. Yes built in shooting sticks are considered a supporting device. Larry -

So we should break out that steel jacketed, or steel core ammo so the magnets work right? Specially made magnets that repel steel core ammo...... -

I will have it posted on the web and emailed to each shooter......Chuck is always looking out for the little guy. Chuck, after talking at length with Tommy, the mag restriction in Tactical divisions has been lifted! Hopefully that is plain english...without a southern drawl. Now lets see, Jeff we are having something new at this match. I had Travis make special targets for our match. On the front of your standard MGM steel target we have fitted them with bullet attracting magnets so that will prevent the shooter from having to reengage the targets as each one will register a hit. Now if you are shooting frangible ammunition, there is nothing I can do. -

as far as cable loops and poppers go, may I suggest those little metal carabiners, kinda like what you would use to hand your car/house keys from. my other suggestion is when possible weld a threaded rod connecter....they are like long hex nuts. then thread and eyebolt into the threaded rod connector which is welded to the tab on the Max trap or clamshell. They eyebolts give you up to two inches of travel. depending on the popper design you can also use an eyebolt through the lower face of the popper plate. as far as fault lines go...sorry...I hope it doesn't seem like I am Monday morning quarterbacking you guys.... I really like that braided yellow poly rope for establishing boundaries/fault lines. you can use rebar "t's" or "cross pickets" or even that T-fencing stuff to string the rope from. hang it up about belly button to rib height. If you are stuck on using fault lines made up out of two by two's and spikes...I haven't tried it myself...but I have seen where electricians use an SDS style hammer/rotary drill to drive in 10 foot long sections of ground rod. they just switch it to hammer mode, slip the chuck over the ground rod, and hit the trigger, looks like it would work slick as snot. granted you can't drag a cord all over the place, but a cordless one with plenty of batteries all charged up would work. Just out of curiosity....doesn't the rule book say the fault line must be a certain thickness......doesn't say in there that it must physically touch the ground, only that it can be felt. So if the rule book says for example 1/4" thick....why not use 1/4" rope. Meets the rule book as outlined. Nothing says it has to be on the ground. -

Parking will be within 50 yards of all stages and there will be no dust, all roads are packed gravel. Besides all the rain they have had, it will take two years to dry out to make dust on the roads. Seriously, dust will be minimal. You must have been at the Ozark match....I am still cleaning dust from my equipment. Larry -

shhhhhh! don't use the S word, That does make it more difficult to see a white popper Poppers will be gray with a huge yellow card behind them for contrast...of yea, we are stealing an idea from Jeff, we will be putting lime on the ground to the sides and behind the rifle target to assist with getting on target. The only way I can make this any easier is to ask you what score you want and write that down without firing a shot. Larry -

Over 30 round mags are good for everyone except you Chuck...just because you asked. I thought you were a detective and you couldn't find the information. I have not seen nor heard anything that would prevent anyone from using ANY type of magazine in tactical division with the exception of the Beta Mag in either the FNH3G or 3Gun Nation Championship. Received the following message from forum member Agusta: Due to a beating worthy schedule mixup neither myself nor Wayne Allen will be able to attend the match now. It is our wish to donate our slots and entry fee to 2 current or retired military members. Not sure how to get the word out on how to do this but would appreciate your assistance in facilitating this. Please contact Agusta if you are a current and retired military member that wishes to participate in the match and you are not already registered. If you know of someone please have them contact Agusta. Agusta and Wayne, thank you for your support to those who are serving or have served. Larry -

As of last week there are 5 Heavy Metal Limited shooters registered in the match. YES, we have a very few slots left. Larry -
Travis, Allow me to throw an idea at you......I would have no problem shooting Trooper twice, yea OK call me crazy. The first match I can pair up with someone shooting amatuer and asist with stage break down and ways to shoot, kinda like a team event. This would be a first for the trooper division but would be really cool. If you think about the true troopers they work in teams. I think it would also go a long way for our sport in helping ams in anyway we can. Russell jump in here if I am way off base here. Just thought it would be cool to do something different at a really cool match. Larry

Registration is at the match hotel Wednesday Nov 9, 5pm to 9pm. If you do registration at the match hotel in Winchester that is going to be a problem for people that stay in Martinsburg or Inwood(which is listed on the website). Would it be possible to have registration at Peacemaker until say 6:00 that way anybody coming out to look at the stages could register as well. Registration is at the match hotel. We will also have a shooters meeting at 7:30 pm at the match hotel so we do not have to do one early in the morning on the range. Larry -

All the stages remain as originally designed. We had to lay them out differently on the range, thus creating the stage number change. so I will try to explain: Stage 3 became stage 1 Stage 5 became stage 2 Stage 1 became stage 3 Stage 2 became stage 4 Stage 4 became stage 5 6-9 did not change Now that I am confused, Mike quit doing those lawyer tricks trying to confuse everyone. Ever stage has options, I would not allow you to shoot a stage with options. Hope this helps. Larry -
