  1. A couple of beers and a nice sharp file makes for a real nice opened up mag well. As good as most of these posted, and less expensive. Besides it is a great excuse to go drink beer in your shop......as if we really need one ;)

i prefer the modern day file......a dremel

  2. Not to mention.......most who have the silencers to use, had them before the PCC or want them regardless. Very few intelligent people are going to buy a pistol silencer and wait 3-9 months for a Form 4 to come back with an approval so that they can have a slightly better 9mm comp.

  3. Suppressor :)

I have several suppressors and LOVE them for shooting.

When it comes to shooting matches tho, make sure the RO takes you to dinner before the match, because he will be uncomfortably close to you in order to get the shots to register on the timer. I considered therapy after the last time I shot with a silencer on the gun the last time at a match.

  4. There aren't a lot of gasses at work to make a comp usable without pushing lighter billets at higher speeds like an open pistol. I can't imagine a 9mm comp making as much difference as a rifle comp with minor power factor ammo.

  5. Seems a bit extreme to tag a company as copying for using similar materials. If that's the case, noone is allowed to use metal or plastics other than the first company to come out with caddies using those materials.

I hope the first company to release a duty holster with a hood on it sues everyone else who offers a hooded retention holster now! Or maybe holster hangers, or mag tubes, or magazine basepads/extensions, or scope mounts that have a forward offset. I wonder how pissed Remington/Para are that Rock Island is building a double stack steel framed 1911. I can't imagine all the companies who are in trouble for copying the AR15....especially when it comes to triggers, bolt carriers, adjustable gas blocks, ambi controls, charging handles, and side charging uppers!

  6. Vortex sells a scope coat that sits on my scope when I'm not shooting stages. Keeps rain and dust off the lenses. If it's currently raining, I might lay it across the rear lense to cover it until I grab the gun.

  7. I would do an integral silencer/barrel on a pistol caliber or .22 that has lower pressure and use a design where I could tear it down to clean. I've never considered doing that with higher pressured rifle calibers tho. Integral silencers aren't quite the same as a simply welding a silencer to the end of a barrel either tho.

You are correct as far as it being 16", but you already have the wait and $200 tax stamp for the silencer portion, so unless your state law does not allow for SBR's, I would pay the $200 for the SBR versus tac welding a can to the end of a short barrel.
